Shimada Hayato is a descendant of an honorable samurai clan. As the only son in his family, he is destined to be the next patriarch of his family and must take the traditions and curses that lingers in his clan for generations. Hayato has the swordplay skill that as excellent as his ancestors. But, a disaster struct at some point in his life, causing him to lose his left arm and replace it with a prosthetic one.

In the Hayato Firebrand video released by Garena, it is told that Hayato loses his arm during a practice session with his father. Hayato’s father later creates a prosthetic robotic arm to replace his lost arm. Even though Hayato’s new arm can function normally, Hayato still cannot escape from his past. To protect those dearest to him, Hayato abandons his past and receives a new power via an awakening.

Tips on Using Hayato

1. Making Him a Barbaric Tank

Hayato is suitable for those who love to play barbaric. On squad mode, you can stand on the front line so you can be the enemies’ first target. You have to become a shield for your friends and guarding your friends from harm. Aside from standing at the front, don't forget to shoot as many enemies as possible. You don’t need to be afraid because the less HP you have, the stronger your attack will be. But still, watch out to not let yourself killed!

2. Force the Enemy to Fight 1 vs 1

If you play on solo, the 1 vs 1 situation will be very profitable to you. Due to the armor penetration bonus, you gain when your HP is low, you can destroy the enemy’s defenses faster. Brave yourself and force the enemy to fight you 1 vs 1, get close to them, and kill!

3. If Low On HP, Don’t Use Medkit Right Away

Many players who see their character’s HP is low enough, they will apply Medkits or other healing items, but when using Hayato, you need good timing to heal yourself. This thing because you can only able to feel Hayato’s skill to the fullest when his HP is at the lowest. If your HP is on its lowest point, don’t use Medkits, set enough distance with your enemy, find a place to hide, and equip yourself with long-range weapons like a sniper rifle or assault rifle. If you finish killing the enemies and make sure no one’s tailing you, then you can heal yourself and get ready for the next battle.

4. Use Close to Mid Range Weapons

Due to Hayato's skill, you will be very strong in mid-range combat. Use suitable weapons for a close-range like melee, pistol, and shotgun. SPAS12 and MP40 can be two of your best weapons to use on close-range combat, while for the mid-range combat, use FAMAS and/or AK.

5. Use Weapons With Armor Penetration

You can double your attacks by using weapons with armor penetration. Because armor penetration does not attach to every weapon, you have to know every weapon that has this status. For Hayato who is a close to mid-range combat specialist, you can use M1887 dan UMP.
