Difference in Fragmentation between SSD and HDD

Yup, PC users in the 90s are familiar with defragging their hard drives. Defrag or Defragment means tidying up, where this activity functions to tidy up the file locations in the sectors on the hard drive again so that the empty sectors and the filled sectors on the hard drive are arranged in an order so that sector allocations are not messy.

In order for HDD to performance well, PC users will defrag their HDD so that the hard disk performance becomes faster because the data in the HDD is more organized. Meanwhile, the SSD defragment is not needed. Because all data has been stored and neatly arranged automatically into the flash chip.

The most noticeable difference is the price gap between SSD and HDD. As a newer technology, SSD is definitely more expensive than HDD. Then Why HDD Still Exist?
