3. Erza Scarlet, Fairy Tail

She has the Adamantine Armor, which allows her to withstand the opponent's attacks really well. The armor is equipped with a large shield that allows her to withstand almost any attack.

4. Mashu Kyrielight, Fate/Grand Order

A somewhat unique Servant in this series, Mashu is an artificial human who merges with the Heroic Spirit (Galahad of the Knights of the Round Table) and becomes a Demi-Servant. As a Shielder, Mashu has an incredibly tough shield as a weapon. She could have added a sword inside her shield, but Mashu chooses not to bring any and uses her shield as an offensive weapon instead.

5. Homura Akemi, Puella Magi Madoka Magica

The main source of Homura's magic is inside her shield. Even though Homura doesn't have any offensive magical abilities, this shield is surely more than enough for her. Her special abilities allow her to stop or return to the past. When time freezes, Homura carries out an attack with her non-magical firearm that she stole from the police or another organization.

She can reset the time as often as she wants as there seems to be no limit. It's crazy how powerful this ability is. With her shield, Homura becomes the focal point of the storyline as she resets time to try to save Madoka.

6. WarGreymon, Digimon

WarGreymon is one of the strongest Mega tier Digimon ever and has some pretty lethal claws that allow it to cause a lot of damage to its enemies.

However, if the enemy wants to land a mortal blow on it, they will have to get past its Brave Shield first. WarGreymon is armored in a metal known as Chrome Digizoid, which is known to be the strongest metal in the Digital World.

7. Dragon Shiryu, Saint Seiya

The Bronze Saint of the Dragon constellation and the mature one of the group, Shiryu wears the Dragon Bronze Cloth, which is known for its legendary defensive abilities. It is known for its durability and is considered unrivaled compared to most fabrics. Despite having great defensive qualities, the shield can be defeated if Shiryu fights a more skilled and stronger Saint.

It takes a very strong Saint to be able to destroy the shield. Along with the cloth itself, the shield had been bathed in the mineral-rich waters of the Rozan Mountains that made it harder than diamond.

8. Heathcliff, Sword Art Online

True to the image of a knight, Heathcliff wields the reliable Liberator sword, and a large shield with the Knights of the Blood symbol on it.

Given that he is the Game Master of the Sword Art Online game, it is not surprising that he is extremely powerful. He's able to block Kirito's attacks easily as he opted for a dual-wielding skill line and knows all of his abilities really well.

He uses it in tandem with the powerful punches he learns, amplifying his attacks. This is also helped as he grew up in a dojo where he learned to attack and defend, making him a formidable opponent despite not having a proper weapon.

10. Pearl, One PIece

A tall man who wears a shield over his body to protect himself, Pearl claims that he is a "man of protection" and that he never drops blood in battle.

This shield is very durable and gives him high defense. With this defense, he is immune to bullets and even cannonballs. In order to better protect himself, Pearl will cause a spark of friction that ignites a layer of extremely hot fire defense to become the "Pearl of Fire".
