Lester and Georgina’s (Tao Cheng’s sister) love story begins shortly after the Diamond Casino & Resort was taken over by Thornton Duggan. The protagonist receives a text from someone claiming to be Lester. Upon arriving at Mirror Park, Lester tells that he also received the same text from a person claiming to be the protagonist.

As it turns out, both of their smartphones were hacked by Georgina Cheng, who intentionally brought them to discuss a plan. Georgina plans to avenge her family over Thornton Duggan’s acquisition of the Diamond Casino. Therefore, she seeks Lester and the protagonist’s help.

Lester immediately refuses as he’s planning to retire, regardless of the amount of money he would get from the heist. But Georgina replies by saying “Then maybe you’d do it for me.”

After hearing that, Lester’s immediately charmed. He instantly changes his mind and agrees to help Georgina.

To rob the Diamond Casino, first, they are going to need a base of operations. Lester’s looking for a place that’s unsuspicious, and they eventually decide to buy an Arcade with a basement.

As Lester is showing the basement to the protagonist, Georgina comes in with her assistant. She invites Lester to her hotel to discuss the heist preparations. Lester initially thought that she was asking him out for a date, to which Georgina responds with a chuckle.

A Complex Heist

After the protagonist sets up the Arcade, Lester returns from his meeting with Georgina. He explains that the plans for the Diamond Casino heist are quite complex.

There are three approaches for the heist: Aggressive, Silent & Sneaky, and The Big Con. These approaches come with different risks, consequences, and preparations. In other words, Casino Heist brings a new experience to the GTA Series.

However, regardless of the approach the player chooses, there are three stages that they need to carry out. First is the Scoping mission, in which the protagonist needs to find out the content of the Diamond Casino vault. Next, is the Preparation, which takes the longest in this heist. During the prep missions, the protagonist has to collect the items required.

The last stage is the Finale. The protagonist and their crew will carry out the Diamond Casino heist. The items the player has collected during the Preparation will determine the outcome of the heist.

For example, if the protagonist completed the Security Pass mission, they’ll be able to use the elevator without having to hack it. This mission greatly helps as most people find hacking in Casino Heist so difficult to pull off.

During the Finale, the protagonist has rather simple tasks. First, they need to get into the Diamond Casino according to the approach they chose. After that, they have to take the valuables in the vault before escaping from the Diamond Casino without getting killed by NOOSE.

A Disappointment that Leads to a Happy Ending

Before the protagonists depart for the Diamond Casino, they are having a briefing with Lester in the Arcade’s basement. But while all of the protagonists are excited to rob the Diamond Casino, Lester seems rather disappointed. He’s told by Huang, Georgina’s assistant, that Georgina’s on her way to China, which means she can’t be there during the heist.

However, when the heist is completed and went out as planned and the protagonists rejoin Lester, Georgina appears and congratulates the crew. Lester immediately switches his focus on Georgina. At the end of the Casino Heist cutscene, Lester and Georgina finally kiss, which marks the beginning of their romance.

Exactly a year after the Diamond Casino Heist, Rockstar released the Cayo Perico Heist DLC. The release of this DLC also featured a picture of Lester and Georgina at Del Perro Pier, seemingly having a date. Apparently, after the Casino Heist, Lester really decided to retire from the scene. Especially that Lester’s role has been replaced by a new character named Pavel in Cayo Perico Heist.
