A rumor has been circulating for more than a year regarding Leslie Benzies, one of the former Rockstar bosses, raising US$40 million to develop a new game called Everywhere. Leslie Benzies is one of the key figures behind the GTA Series, who left Rockstar in 2016 due to an internal dispute with other Rockstar executives. Now, Leslie has a studio called Build A Rocket Boy (BARB) and is currently developing Everywhere, a game that is tipped to be the GTA Killer.

The Development of Everywhere and Build A Rocket Boy

Within a year since the last time we talked about Leslie Benzies’ new endeavor, a fans community Everywhere Net has managed to collect the latest evidence of the development of this game. As a matter of fact, in an interview with IGN, a Build A Rocket Boy spokesperson stated that the theories that fans made aren’t far off from the company’s vision for the project.

Fans theorize that Everywhere will be a sci-fi metaverse game that has three modes: Free, Solo, and Co-op, and developed using Unreal Engine. The BARB spokesperson also added: 

"We don’t like thinking in terms of open-world, or closed-world, but rather how we can build new worlds, and exciting, new ways of playing games."

The official website of Build A Rocket Boy has also undergone several changes. You can now register to the site, and by doing so, you’ll earn 10 Artas (in-game currency). Artas seems to be the in-game currency that will be used after the release. Yet it’s still unclear whether the currency will be used for transactions like other games or a cryptocurrency that you can invest with. To check out your Artas after registering to the site, you just need to open your account and delete the /edit section in the URL.
