The PUBG Mobile Esports schedule for 2026 looks set to be even bigger, with more opportunities available to everyone. One of the key events on the PUBG Mobile Esports timeline is the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2026. PMGO 2026 is a highly anticipated competition. PMGO is a new concept for PUBG Mobile Esports, offering a more inclusive competition and reaching more PUBG Mobile teams worldwide.

Not only professional esports teams, but semi-pro or tier-2 esports teams can also participate in PMGO 2026. There are no restrictions for any team as long as they follow the applicable rules. Launched in 2024, PMGO is a platform for all teams ready to develop and prove themselves. Therefore, PMGO 2026 is guaranteed to be presented with a new and even more exciting concept.

PMGO 2026 Will Be Held Twice, with SEA and Pakistan as Hosts!

The confirmation of the PMGO 2026 was announced by Level Infinite's Global Esports Director, James Yang, at the PMGC 2025 Grand Final in Bangkok some time ago. On the first day, Friday, December 12, 2025, James Yang made several important announcements regarding the PUBG Mobile Esports 2026 timeline, covering various upcoming competition agendas.

This included information regarding PMGO 2026. James Yang stated that the PUBG Mobile Global Open will be held twice in 2026. "Next year (2026), we will hold more than 30 PUBG Mobile National Championships in more than eight regions, leading to regional qualifiers that will determine which teams advance to the PUBG Mobile Global Open," said James Yang.

"I'm sure you've all noticed that PMGO will be held twice, and that's true. We're increasing our tournament count with a second PMGO, with seasons 1 and 2," he said. James Yang added that PMGO 2026 will be the opening tournament of next year's PUBG Mobile Esports competitive season. "Our 2026 esports competitive season will kick off with PMGO Season 1, which I'm proud to announce will be held in Southeast Asia,"

"With a prize pool of up to US$500,000, this will be the first opportunity for players to earn PMGC points to advance to the next PMGC," added James Yang. "And the latest PMGO Season 2 will be held in Pakistan. This will be the first global competition in that country. Season 2 will also offer teams the opportunity to win US$500,000 in prizes and more points for PMGC qualification," he concluded.

It's interesting to see what PMGO 2026 will be like, folks. Who do you think will represent Indonesia on the upcoming PMGO stage? Or what teams will be competing in the PMGO competition? Let's just wait and see.
