The Straw Hat Pirates are one of the groups that are currently on the rise in One Piece. Their progress is currently being monitored by many parties. It’s because not only did they riot with Big Mom as a Yonko, they were also actually brave enough to take over Kaido who was also a Yonko.

They have changed drastically not only as personal but also as a group! So, what are the biggest changes that have occurred in the Straw Hats? Let’s find out!

1. Being More Mature

Regardless how many problems there are, the group now doesn't depend on the power of muscles only. Luffy and friends are now mature and ready in terms of mentality. Therefore, such a fight between Usopp and Luffy never happens again. 

This group is now in control and mature in responding to a problem like in Sanji’s case in which he was about to return to his family. The group arranged a complete strategy to bring Sanji back.

As a result, the method was successful. Likewise when the Wano arc rolls around. Even though Luffy was still absent from the original plan, just as usual, but the group eventually managed to push back Kaido. It is thanks to them being mature.

2. No Longer Considered a Mediocre

In the past, when they were just sailing, everyone thought that the Straw Hat pirates were nothing more than a nuisance. In terms of ability and life background, they are nothing, even Zoro was defeated by Mihawk with a dinner knife.

But over time, their strength has developed. They managed to free up one country from colonialism. They managed to stop the supply of SMILE from Doflamingo and are now aiming to overthrow Kaido from Wano.

Their Bounty increased, their background was revealed where the most of them turned out to be great people, and most importantly their strength managed to shake the Government and the pirates.

3. Have Magnificent Ship

Right, this is one thing that is actually normal but somehow something interesting. The Thousand Sunny, the new ship owned by the Straw Hats, is grand, luxurious, and huge! This ship is also more sophisticated and better equipped to navigate the notorious New World.

The development of these pirates is in line with the crews’ appearance changes in which they are now more powerful. Interestingly, the Thousand Sunny was used through a complicated process that even involved fighting between Luffy and Usopp.

4. They are Aware of Their Goals

Especially for Sanji and Zoro, both of them have their own goals, but in this Wano arc we see that their personal goals are still less important than their main goal, which is to make Luffy as the Pirate King.

They are aware of this and fight to the death with Kaido's All Stars. It is even shown that these two characters will become the wings for Luffy for the sake of being the Pirate King!

5. A Higher Target

For now, the Straw Hats are brave enough to face Yonko. From Big Mom to fighting Kaido, it has shown that the level of Luffy and friends has developed.

Their target for opponents is also bigger now, maybe even they can fight the Admirals. The development of this power has been shown from the beginning of the series until now. Is Luffy going to crush all the Yonko in the future or just Kaido? Or does it even directly defeat the Government? Let's wait and see.
