Jump Festa 2023 is a major event from Shonen Jump featuring the latest news from manga published in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The author of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda, conveyed a message to all fans who attended this event online.

Oda didn't expect that One Piece Film: RED would get such a large profit. Oda is also happy because the game that has been in development for 6 years, One Piece Odyssey, will be released soon, likewise, with One Piece Netflix Live Action which is currently in the production stage. Oda also told fans not to be sad because they heard that One Piece would end soon.

"It's been 25 years since serialization started. It's been a long story and I'm relieved now that so many young readers are starting to read the series. I was really excited when the Final Arc started, and excited people to be excited about it. But I don't plan to finish my work any time soon, so don't worry.

Next year in the manga, a clash between that person and this person will occur! That's where the story is going now! If I could name it, this would be a huge battle royale! I hope none of them die! Please keep looking forward to ONE PIECE next year!”, wrote Eiichiro Oda in the message. This hints at the possibility that the final showdown in Laugh Tale will be a battle royale for pirates.
