Esports | 14 May
The biggest Mobile Legends tournament in Southeast Asia, the Mobile Legends Southeast Asia Cup 2020 which was planned to take place from June 10 to 14 had to be canceled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted every aspect of the world, and it has also become one of the hardest challenges for large-scale Esports events. Now, we are getting close to the scheduled Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asian Cup (MSC) 2020. To be frank, MSC was scheduled for June 10-14, yet the pandemic continues as no one is able to confirm when the outbreak will end.
Complying with the law as well as ensuring the safety of the team, staff, partners, and fans are our priorities. Aside from that, social distancing and international travel restrictions also play as important factors in considering the implementation of large-scale international events in the near future.
Therefore, after taking the pandemic status and the government regulations on COVID-19 into account, we are reluctant to inform you that we are canceling MSC 2020.
However, Esport and MLBB fans have nothing to worry about. We have prepared a series of alternative programs for MSC 2020. Once again, no need to worry, and wait for our latest info.
Thank you for your support for the MLBB events and the MLBB itself during this hard time. We hope that everyone is well and safe. Hopefully, we can meet at an MLBB event in the near future,” Moonton wrote in a press-release for Dunia Games.
