The Pokémon Company announced a large-scale project, Pikachu's Indonesia Journey, as part of Pokémon Air Adventures, in Indonesia in the 2024 fiscal year. This project aims to increase tourism in Indonesia by organizing various events and activities in various major cities, starting with the island of Bali in March.

Pokemon Air Adventures

Pikachu Jet GA1

Pikachu Jet GA1 will be the main attraction of this project, flown by the airline Garuda Indonesia. The first Pikachu Jet GA1 flight is planned for February 23 2024 with the destination Denpasar. Pikachu Jet GA1 will grace domestic and international skies, landing in destinations such as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Bangkok.

Pikachu in Batik Shirt

As part of this project, Batik Shirt Pikachu will become a local attraction exclusive to Indonesia. Designed by an Indonesian batik designer, this Pikachu will appear with a unique batik motif that can only be found in Indonesia.

Official Event in Bali

The big official Pokémon event will be held in the center of the island of Bali, Renon Square, Denpasar, over two days on March 2 and 3 2024. The event involves Pokémon GO and Pokémon Run, with a stage featuring a Pikachu Splash Show and a Pikachu dance performance in the evening day with a Pikachu EDM theme that combines typical Indonesian elements.

Event Rundown:

- Pikachu Splash Show during the day, involving abundant water displays.

- Pikachu dance show at night, accompanied by EDM Pikachu themed music and lights.

- Parade of more than 10 Pikachu on the field.

- Meet & Greet with Pokémon, including Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.

- Pokémon Kids Carnival with simple games and merchandise sales.

Pikachu's Indonesia Journey

Pikachu's Indonesia Journey is part of Pokémon Air Adventures which aims to connect people with the region through the beauty of Indonesian culture and nature. Involving Pikachu's travel activities throughout Indonesia, this project wants to introduce the attraction of Indonesia and increase the number of Pokémon and Indonesian fans.

Batik-shirted Pikachu debuted in Bali on March 2, 2024, and will continue to appear for over a year. In addition, special Pokémon GO programs, Special Research and encounters with Shining Pokémon will make Pikachu's journey even more impressive.

Pokémon RUN in Indonesia

In line with Pokémon Air Adventures, Pokémon RUN will also be held in big cities in Indonesia. For the first time, this event will be held in Bali on March 3 2024 with two categories, a 5 km Fun Run and a 3 km Family Run. Other entertaining programs will also be prepared apart from the marathon.

Pikachu's Indonesia Journey and the Pokémon Air Adventures project are innovative steps in combining the love of Pokémon with exploration and introduction to local culture. With these events, The Pokémon Company hopes to strengthen the connection between Pokémon, fans, and the destinations visited.
