Pokémon Legends: Z-A is the newest game in the Pokémon franchise which is ready to be released in 2025. This game will take players to Lumiose City, a city which is the center of a new adventure with the concept of urban redevelopment.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A

If you are curious about all the information that has been revealed about this game, here is a summary!

Region: Lumiose City in a New Dress

In contrast to previous games which feature a wide and open world, Pokémon Legends: Z-A focuses on exploring a large city, Lumiose City. This city previously appeared in Pokémon X and Y which were set in the Kalos region. In this latest game, Lumiose City is undergoing an urban redevelopment project to create a comfortable place for humans and Pokémon to live side by side.

Gameplay: Mix of City Exploration and Wild Zones

Gameplay in Pokémon Legends: Z-A seems to follow in the footsteps of Pokémon Legends: Arceus with an action RPG approach. Players can explore the wide city streets and visit Wild Zones, areas where wild Pokémon roam. To catch a Pokémon, players can throw a Poké Ball directly or fight first with the Pokémon they own.

Starter Pokémon: Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile

In this game, players are given a choice of three starter Pokémon: Chikorita (Grass type), Tepig (Fire type), and Totodile (Water type). This was a surprise to many fans because usually the starters come from the same generation, but this time the starter choices come from different generations (Gen 2 and Gen 5).

When will it be released?

Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have confirmed that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be released in 2025. However, an exact date has not yet been announced. Possibly later this year or sooner.

Price Estimates and Comparison with Previous Series

Although the official price has not been announced, if you look at the prices of previous Pokémon games on Nintendo Switch, it is likely that Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be priced at around $59.99 USD (around IDR 900,000 in Indonesia, depending on exchange rates and taxes). Compared to Pokémon Legends: Arceus, this game seems to offer a more varied experience with wider city exploration.

Where to Buy

Upon release, the game will most likely be available on:

  • Nintendo eShop (digital download)
  • Official Nintendo retailer (like Amazon, Best Buy, and local game stores)
  • Physical and online stores in Indonesia such as Tokopedia, Shopee, and other official game stores.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A promises a unique experience with an updated Lumiose City setting and gameplay that combines urban exploration and Wild Zones. With a unique starter system and a new approach to the world of Pokémon, this game is worth the wait for fans.
