The name Idok has once again become a hot topic in the Indonesian MLBB community. After RRQ failed to qualify for the MPL ID Season 16 playoffs, numerous speculations surfaced about the team’s future roster. Among the most talked-about rumors was the potential of RRQ selling Idok, their roamer who had been an integral part of the squad for the past two seasons.

However, Idok’s journey with RRQ has been far from mediocre. Since joining the team, he had immediately helped RRQ reach the grand finals of MPL ID Seasons 14 and 15. Alongside his teammates, Idok had been known as a roamer with exceptional initiation and rotation abilities. Even when RRQ’s performance dipped, his impact in crucial matches had remained evident.

Rumors of RRQ selling Idok started circulating after several veteran players were linked to potential transfers ahead of M7. Yet, amid those talks, many fans believed that selling Idok would be a mistake. They argued that he still possessed tremendous potential to grow and remain relevant in the competitive scene.

Recently, Idok once again showcased his impressive form during the Indonesian All Star streaming session on BTRP’s channel. Teaming up with Albert, Skylar, Sanz, and Luke, he delivered a spectacular performance by leading a reverse sweep against Dewa United’s full MPL ID Season 16 roster with a 4–3 scoreline. This moment further strengthened the notion that the idea of RRQ selling Idok was far too premature.

RRQ Selling Idok Seems Highly Unlikely

During the live stream, many positive comments came from analysts and former pro players who tuned in. Age, one of the people familiar with Idok’s playstyle, firmly stated that RRQ should not let go of such a player.

“RRQ won’t release Idok. He’s still playing really well. Still strong,” said Age.

This statement reinforced the idea that, even amid RRQ’s roster reshuffle, a player like Idok still deserved a vital spot. Not only because of his experience but also due to his refined communication and adaptability inside the game.

Nafari, a respected analyst and former coach, also shared an insightful take regarding the potential sale of Idok. He emphasized that Idok possessed the qualities of a modern roamer rarely seen in MPL ID.

“It depends (when evaluating roamers) first on targeting, then on hero pool. Idok’s got both — he’s great on tank heroes and pick-off types. That means his hero pool is wide. Watching him today reminded me of Kiboy from ONIC, especially since the calls were handled by Sanz and Albert,” said Nafari.

This observation highlighted the depth of Idok’s capabilities. He could perform multiple roles — from initiator to tempo support and even map opener — depending on his teammates’ playstyle. This flexibility made it clear why RRQ selling Idok was not a realistic move anytime soon.

Beyond his mechanics, Idok had also built a reputation for his consistency during both scrims and tournaments. Even during RRQ’s struggles in Season 16, he continued to demonstrate solid communication and dedication. Many fans believed that a player like Idok could be the foundation for RRQ’s resurgence in the next season.

From a strategic standpoint, losing Idok would be a massive setback. He not only had sharp mechanical skills but also a championship-caliber mentality honed through multiple grand finals. With renewed strategies and better synergy among the lineup, Idok could once again serve as one of RRQ’s central pillars in their climb back to MPL ID’s summit.

Looking at his latest performances, especially during the scrims against Dewa United, it was clear that Idok’s abilities had not declined. His coordination, shot-calling, and engagement timing continued to impress fans and analysts alike. All these factors reinforced one conclusion: the talk about RRQ selling Idok was nothing more than a fast-spreading rumor.

With youth still on his side and vast experience at the highest level, Idok’s potential to shine remained enormous. RRQ only needed to give him space to evolve within their new system. As long as that happened, RRQ selling Idok would be nearly impossible — and instead, this was the time for RRQ to rebuild around him.

Idok’s ceiling as both a player and a rotational leader in-game remained incredibly high. If RRQ could fully leverage his strengths, they would have a solid foundation to return to championship form. For now, one thing was certain: the rumor of RRQ selling Idok could not outweigh the massive value he continued to bring to the team.
