The Guinness World Records awarded Matthew Emblidge from the United States as the man with the largest Cardcaptor Sakura collection in the world on January 2, 2021. Emblidge, who lives in Columbia, Maryland, has a total of 4,873 Cardcaptor Sakura collections ranging from comic books, figures, costumes, and others.

He’s intentionally aiming for the world record in 2021 because this year Cardcaptor Sakura turns 25 years old. You can visit TheCardCaptorMuseum's Twitter account to see the various collections. Previously, the biggest Cardcaptor Sakura collector's world record award was given to Sofia Pichihua from Peru in 2017 with a collection of 1,086 items.

Cardcaptor Sakura series was published from 1996 to 2000. Then the sequel, Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card was released in 2016. Cardcaptor Sakura also received an anime adaptation that had aired on local television in the 2000s.
