However, it turns out that she is a descendant of muggles, meaning that she hails from a non-magical bloodline before joining Hogwarts. She is a very gentle person and cares about others and the plants she grows. Professor Garlick looks charming with her reddish-brown hair and glowing white skin. She always appears in her all-green outfit with a unique green magic hat decorated with flowers.

The voice actor behind Professor Garlick's character is Moira Quirk, a voice actress who's born in Rutland, England. She is an actress who is also known in several other games aside from Hogwarts Legacy such as Destiny 2: The Witch Queen (2022) and Dragon Rescue Riders: Heroes of the Sky (2021).

Aside from completing numerous main missions in Hogwarts Legacy, players can also take part in side missions and explore Hogwarts. With Professor Garlick -- who is a teacher of Herbology at Hogwarts -- many players are willing to complete various kinds of tasks to study the magical plants in the game.

Professor Garlick: 1st Assignment

In order to complete the herbology class mission, you must go to the greenhouse, and follow the marker that will lead you to Professor Garlick. After the introductory cutscene, which shows you have to carry mandrakes from one pot to another, Professor Garlick will instruct you to plant the seeds.

To start searching for the seed referred to by Professor Garlick, you must visit Dogweed and Deathcap in Hogsmeade, then buy Venomous Tentacula for 600 gold and 500 gold for Mandrake. After purchasing it, you have to find some enemies to use Venomous Tentacula and throw it on the ground so that the plants grow immediately.

As for the Mandrake, you can use it against multiple enemies at once, but you have to approach the enemies (at least two of them) then use Mandrake. The noise generated will paralyze them temporarily, when this happens, you can combine it with Levioso's spell to fight back.

After you use these two plants, you will get a notification asking you to return to the greenhouse and talk to Professor Garlick. She will then teach you the Wingardium Leviosa spell, whose function is similar to Levioso, but you can move items that have been hit by the spell. You will be asked to test this spell on a nearby chest.

Professor Garlick: 2nd Assignment

The second assignment requires you to complete the first assignment from Professor Garlick. After completing the first assignment, you must wait for a letter through your Owl Post offering you to learn a new spell, Flipendo. The second assignment will ask you to plant and harvest Fluxweed plants and use these combat plants simultaneously in battle.

To plant the Fluxweed, you will need Fluxweed seeds and a potting table to plant them on. You can go to Hogsmeade and enter the Tomes and Scrolls shop on the South Side of Hogsmeade. In this shop, you have to buy Spellcraft's Potting Table With A Large Pot for 1000 Galleons for planting seeds.

Then, go to the Magic Neep shop on the west side of Hogsmeade, then purchase the Fluxweed seeds from Timothy Teasdale for 350 Galleons for a pack. After having all the equipment, all you have to do is plant the seed by returning to the Secret Room and then heading to the Room of Requirement.

Place a potting table somewhere in the room and start growing Fluxweed. This plant takes about 15 minutes (in real time) to fully grow. You need three combat plants and use them simultaneously to complete this task. In order to get all three, you will have to spend a lot of Galleons to buy seeds and big pots to plant them on.

Once you have three combat plants and want to use them at the same time, you can go outside the castle and throw all three simultaneously on the ground. After you complete the task, you can return to Professor Garlick and she will teach you the Flipendo spell, a spell that can make your opponent fly backwards in the air.
