Luke reveals how after a year of separation, he is now settling into his new life in America to hone his investigative skills. Luke wrote the letter as something perplexes and concerns him. So, Professor Layton flies to a city called Steam Bison to reunite with Luke.

Professor Layton and The New World of Steam takes place on Steam Bison, America. The city is bustling with the power of the steam engine that delivers it to a new world that goes beyond the technological developments in London. But due to a mysterious incident in Steam Bison, Professor Layton and Luke start a new adventure in this city.

Professor Layton has been a popular series on DS and 3DS for many years, proven with the four main releases on DS. The last entry from this series was released in 2017, Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy, which was released for Nintendo 3DS and ported for Switch in 2019.

Whereas the release date for Professor Layton and The New World of Steam is yet to be announced. However, since the title of this game is featured at Level-5 Vision 2023, it's highly likely that this game will be released in 2023 or 2024. Professor Layton and The New World of Steam is the only one that doesn't have a confirmed schedule yet. However, it is most likely that it will be launched for the Nintendo Switch in 2024.
