Chrono’s Advantages and Disadvantages
Chrono’s Advantages:
- Can hold out a massive amount of damage;
- Protects from all sides;
- The effects apply to all teammates;
- Has a high additional movement speed;
- Has a fast cooldown.
Chrono has a very powerful skill, surpassing every Free Fire roster in existence. The protective field that Chrono created can hold up to 600 HP or 3 times bigger than a player’s maximum HP. It can be said that you are immune to damage while inside the protective field.
Unlike the Gloo Wall which only protects from one direction, Chrono’s skill protects from all directions. For example, one Chrono's skill is equivalent to 3 to 4 Gloo Walls put together around your character. On top of that, this protective field can last up to 9 seconds and all the teammates can get in and get out as they please.
Aside from being able to hold off damage, Chrono’s skill also provides a bonus movement speed of up to 30% to Chrono himself, the highest buff skill to any Free Fire characters. Like DJ Alok, Chrono's skill also gives a 15% movement speed bonus to all teammates.
Chrono’s Disadvantages:
- The protective field cannot be moved;
- Only one player can shoot from inside the protective field.
Overall, Chrono's skill doesn't have any particular weaknesses. Once activated, Chrono's protective field can only stay in the same location, forcing you to stand at that location to get the effect.
The second weakness of this skill is that only one player can shoot from inside. In solo mode, this is not a big problem, but in squad mode, only 1 out of 4 teammates can shoot from the inside. Maybe this shooting task is for the players who have the strongest weapons and best aim in the squad.

Tips on Using Chrono
After knowing about Chrono’s skills, advantages, and disadvantages, you also must know the play tips on using Chrono.
1. The Perfect Timing to Use Chrono’s Skill
When you want to activate Chrono’s skill, make sure that you activate it at the most appropriate location. Do not let yourself end up in a disadvantageous position and instead have to stay in that place for 9 seconds. You can activate this skill on the knocked teammates so you can revive them safely.
You can also activate it when your teammate is dying. 9 seconds is more than enough for you to use Medkits. If it's still not enough, then you can extend the duration of your protection by using Gloo Walls.
2. Chrono’s Skill Combination
To maximize recovery while in a protective circle, Chrono is suitable to be used as a Support and combines him with healer characters such as Maxim, Olivia, and Kapella. Maxim's "Gluttony" skill will speed up the time on applying Medkits, Olivia's "Healing Touch" revives a knocked friend by adding more HP, while "Healing Song" strengthens the healing effect of items and skills.
If you are a rusher who wants to play aggressively using Chrono, other teammates can use Hayato, Kelly, and Joseph. No need to heal when dying, because you can go aggressive using Hayato and shoot enemies from within the protective circle. When the barrier’s duration is about to run out, get ready to escape by activating Kelly and/ or Joseph's skill.
