Being a YouTuber has become the dream profession for many young people. There are various kinds of channels on YouTube, from cooking channels, tutorials, as well as gaming. On this occasion, we’d like to discuss one of the popular gaming channels on YouTube, BrandonKent Everything.

His fiery demeanor actually made him popular, especially in the Mobile Legends scene. Now, if you want to get to know more about BrandonKent, Dunia Games have got you covered.

1. His Real Name is Brandon Sugianto Kentjana

The name “BrandonKent” actually comes from his real name: Brandon Sugianto Kentjana. Kent was born in Palembang, South Sumatera on November 26, 1992. It means that Kent is now 28 years old. Since childhood, Kent has been an avid gamer, especially Dota 2 when he would often visit internet cafes.

2. Tried His Luck Overseas

After graduating from high school, Kent tried his luck overseas, in Australia, living on the IDR 80 million he earned from his cellphone shop business. When in Australia, Kent was using a student visa to find a job and go to college.

Found a job, Kent spent 12 hours a day working in a restaurant -- from cooking to wash dishes. Because he spent so much time at work, Kent found it difficult to cope up with his college life. This led to him deciding to return to Indonesia (after four months in Australia).

3. Gained Popularity With His Prank Content

Before making his name with his gaming content, BrandonKent was known for his pranks. He got his inspirations for creating a prank channel from his hobby of watching these kinds of videos on YouTube late into the night. Some of the YouTube channels that gave him a lot of inspiration are BigDawsTv, ThatWasEpic, dan angrypicnic.

BrandonKent’s probably the first content creator in Indonesia who came up with interesting prank concepts -- along with David Beat. He started his content back in 2016 with a social experiment of a Singaporean trying to make friends in Indonesia. He chose Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) as the location, relying on his father’s camera.

4. Almost Gave Up on His Channel

His efforts in building his YouTube channel deserve some appreciation. Having to juggle with his cellphone shop, Kent managed to create his content regularly -- even it’s just something he did on the side. He didn’t even earn any money from his videos back then.

The reason why he didn’t make any money from the was that because he couldn’t monetize his channel yet. And, during the first four months, he was actually thinking of giving up as he had to choose between YouTube and another project.

Despite this issue, Kent earned his first paycheck (IDR 1 million) for the first time in 2017.

5. Committed to His Prank Content

BrandontKent puts effort into his content. He avoided certain kinds of pranks that he believes inappropriate, such as pulling off pranks on online delivery drivers, which was quite popular at the time. Due to his commitment, Kent accumulated more and more viewers. His subscriber skyrocketed!

Unfortunately, despite the large number of subscribers he amassed, Kent was still unhappy as all of his efforts didn’t pay off. His prank content required extensive processes as he had to interact with lots of people. These contributed to his decision to switch to the gaming scene.

6. Decided to Focus on Gaming Content

His love of gaming led him to the gaming scene with the help of Warpath -- the former SaintsIndo player. In this new field, Kent found his comfort zone, as gaming content suits him well and gave bigger AdSense.

He finally tried things out by having live streams. During the first week, the number of viewers was quite small, only 15 viewers. However, the number continued to grow within a month until he reached 10,000 viewers. Wow!

Due to the rapid growth, Kent decided to create a new channel named BandonKent Everything. In his new channel, Kent managed to accumulate 5,000 subscribers within three months.

7. Found His Success in the YouTube Gaming Scene

With his gaming content, BrandonKent Everything now has 4 million subscribers in total. In fact, Kent is now the brand ambassador for one of the biggest teams in Indonesia, Genflix Aerowolf. In addition to that, he also partnered up with Facebook to become a streamer on Facebook Gaming.

Because of his hard work, Kent has started new businesses, such as a diamond top-up service and Mobile Legends boosting service; a clothing line; and a food business, relying on the cooking skills he got from his job in Australia.
