Frost Diamond’s real name is Kananda Widyantara. He’s born in Bantul, Yogyakarta, on June 23, 1997. Frost Diamond has two brothers, whom he calls Bocil and Bapak Gile (pseudonyms).

When he was 2 years old, his family decided to move to Denpasar, Bali, where he finished his education. However, when he’s in college, Frost Diamond chose to quit school to pursue his dream of becoming a YouTuber. Before he’s a YouTuber, Frost Diamond had lots of dreams, he wanted to become a doctor, pilot, police officer, and captain.

2. Tetris and Bounce Were His First Games

Do you still remember Tetris and Bounce, the popular games on Nokia phones back in the days? Frost Diamond was first introduced to games with these games! Before being introduced to video games, he used to love traditional games, like marbles and spinning tops.

When he was seven, his father bought a PC, which he sometimes used to draw or play games. Then, at 10, after being introduced to the internet, Frost Diamond began to become active in social media and created a Facebook account as well as started a blog at Blogspot.

3. He Loves Movies

Aside from gaming, Frost Diamond also has another favorite activity, watching movies. His interest in movies made him learn how to make his own, which he uploaded on Facebook and Instagram when he was still in high school. He also got introduced to YouTube in 2014 and started an account to leave comments on videos that he watched.

Then in 2017, Frost Diamond started to make his own videos and upload them to YouTube, with Minecraft as the experimental content. Back then, his channel’s name was BrustFace. And, he was getting positive responses from the viewers.

4. His Channel’s Name Derived from the Movie Home Alone and Minecraft

With BrustFace, Frost Diamond managed to get 100k subscribers in just 6 months! However, he was struggling with monetization issues in his channel. Therefore, he started out a new channel which he named Frost Diamond.

The word “Frost” is derived from the movie Home Alone, as he loves the winter theme and snow. He admitted that the word just came across his mind when looking for the name for his channel. While “Diamond” is taken from the most sought after material in Minecraft.

With his new channel, Frost Diamond gained 100k subscribers in just one month! This achievement wasn’t solely based on the popularity of the game he played, but his character that managed to attract more viewers.

5. Idolizes DanTDM, PewDiePie, and Logan Paul

Frost Diamond has his own favorite YouTube personalities, such as DanTDM, PewDiePie, and Logan Paul. All of them are big names on YouTube with their own unique characteristics.

Like PiewDiePie with his absurdities in his gameplays and meme reviews, Logan Paul with his daily life videos, and DanTDM, who’s famous for his wide array of gaming content.

6. Has Three Other Active Channels!

Apart from Frost Diamond, Kananda also runs three other channels. They are Kananda Widyantara, Bapak Gile, and Bocil Official. Each of them has more than 1 million subscribers -- with Kananda Widyantara racking up the most, with 4.43 million subscribers.

However, Frost Diamond remains his main channel with daily uploads. And, with his consistency, Frost Diamond has amassed 16.6 million subscribers!

7. He Earns Hundreds of Millions of Rupiah from YouTube!

Who would’ve thought, with his hard work on his YouTube channel, Kananda managed to buy an expensive car and a fancy house! According to socialblade.com, with Frost Diamond, he earns $46,000 - $742,200 per month -- roughly around IDR 600 million - IDR 1 billion (depends on the ads).

With those astronomical figures, many have started to create their own channels, with the hope of nearing his income.
