A couple of weeks ago, EVOS Esports announced several new names as the organization’s Brand Ambassadors: Unaa, Aiko, and Shannon. Shannon was born in Bogor, on 1 October 2004, who has made her name at the young age of 17 on TikTok and Instagram.

On her Instagram page @shannonwong, Shannon already amassed more than 700K followers, on TikTok @shannonwong, she has more than 4.8 million followers at the time of writing.

With the huge following she’s established on Instagram and TikTok, Shannon Wong started making her income on those platforms, which eventually led to her being appointed as the Brand Ambassador of one of the biggest esports teams in Indonesia, EVOS Esports.

Shannon Wong is known as an influencer who’s also a big gamer. As the Brand Ambassador of EVOS Esports, she often plays Mobile Legends and promotes the events that EVOS Esports holds.

Currently Taking Her Time Off Social Media Due to a Bad Experience

A while ago, Shannon Wong gave an update to her followers on social media, saying that she wouldn’t be able to be as active on social media as she used to be. Shannon also mentioned that she was experiencing a mental breakdown as a result of the treatment she’s been receiving.

"Sorry, I can’t be as active (on social media) as I used to be, regularly giving updates on social media due to my current condition. I’ve been dealing with physical and verbal abuse for 12 years. What you’ve seen on (my) social media is fabricated. I’ve been suffering from depression, anxiety, trichotillomania disorder, self-harm since 1st grade", Shannon Wong wrote on Instagram.

Shannon also revealed that she found it difficult to work on social media as it requires her to pretend that everything’s okay whereas she had to deal with domestic violence before taking pictures or videos.

"This far, I didn’t have the courage to speak up because of my fear, yet at this point, I’ve had enough with all of this and I’ve been diagnosed with a post-traumatic stress disorder, so I gather the courage to speak up. Even to post this video, it took a lot of thought and courage, and, to be honest, so far, it’s been so hard to have a career in social media with this fake mask where I have to pretend that I’m fine whereas, most of the time, before taking those pictures or videos, I have to deal with domestic violence.”
