PUBG MOBILE has officially recorded a Guinness World Record™ through the global hybrid event FRIEND FEST. PUBG MOBILE successfully broke the world record for Most Pairs Performing a Choreographed Handshake (Multiple Venues), thanks to the participation of hundreds of players from various countries in a simultaneous moment celebrating friendship and community connection.

The FRIEND FEST PUBG MOBILE event officially launched on January 23 and will run until February 16. The highlight of the celebration was marked by the Guinness World Record™ attempt held on Sunday, January 25, involving a total of 392 PUBG MOBILE players from around the world.

FRIEND FEST PUBG MOBILE Sets a Guinness World Record

This Guinness World Record™ attempt was conducted simultaneously across four iconic public locations: Lapangan Banteng Park in Jakarta, Fişekhane in Istanbul, Guzeria Youth Center in Cairo, and Fatima Jinnah Park in Islamabad. These locations were selected for their important roles as public spaces and centers of community activity in their respective cities.

Through a synchronized choreographed handshake, PUBG MOBILE demonstrated how a game can serve as a unifying medium across cultures, regions, and backgrounds. This concept aligns with the spirit of FRIEND FEST, which emphasizes the values of friendship, collaboration, and shared experiences born from gameplay.

Lapangan Banteng Becomes a Historic Witness for PUBG MOBILE in Indonesia

In Indonesia, FRIEND FEST PUBG MOBILE achieved a milestone of its own. The event became the first large-scale mobile gaming industry event ever held at Lapangan Banteng Park. This marked a new step in collaboration between the gaming industry and the use of public spaces in Jakarta.

In addition to offline activities, FRIEND FEST PUBG MOBILE also introduced various special in-game contents. Players can check in at the Bonding Tree available in Erangel and Livik. Throughout the event period, the Bonding Tree transforms into a pink-themed landmark and triggers a romantic stage performance with unique visual effects.

PUBG MOBILE also introduced a flower-gifting feature between players as a symbol of friendship. Items such as the Fated Dance Bouquet and Surprise Bouquet allow players to unlock single-use items while expressing their in-game style through cosmetic items like the Floral Veil and Sunflower Cover.

FRIEND FEST was also expanded into the real world through various face-to-face activations. PUBG MOBILE presented FRIEND FEST flower shops in selected regions, including Western Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia. Players who visit participating flower shops and show PUBG MOBILE-related content have the chance to receive free flowers.

In Indonesia, a series of PUBG MOBILE Experience Zones are being held at selected cafés from January 25 to February 25. These activities include community tournaments, creative World of Wonder matches, the ‘Pan-for-Pan’ exchange program, and the Glass Room Tournament at Lapangan Banteng Park.
