Qualcomm Reveals Their Latest Roadmap in Indonesia
In this month of Ramadan, Qualcomm revealed some of their latest roadmap points in Indonesia.

Seeing the development of the mobile industry that is growing at this time, Qualcomm again revealed the latest information about their roadmap in Indonesia. Along with the iftar event with a number of media partners, Qualcomm revealed several discussion points that were shared.

Qualcomm continues its leadership in technology beyond mobile with several new product innovations to drive the connected intelligent edge. This technology is needed in the growing use of cloud. Research from IDC shows that as much as 64% of data will be processed using more modern data centers by 2025.
Previously, Qualcomm's business focused on MSM (Mobile system/ system-on-chip Modem), MDM (Mobile Data Modem) and licensing services worth $15B. Currently, Qulcomm has diversified, including RF front-end, automotive, IoT, etc. with a value of USD$100B. In the next decade, Qualcomm's services will focus on the connected intelligent edge with a value of USD$700B.
Qualcomm's One Technology Roadmap consists of best-in-class technologies enhanced to enable virtually any device to be connected virtually using wireless technologies, such as Edge AI, camera, graphics, processing and connectivity.
For mobile, Snapdragon sets the benchmark for premium Android smartphones with connectivity using Snapdragon Connect, Snapdragon Smart, Snapdragon Sound, Snapdragon Sight, Snapdragon Secure, and Snapdragon Elite Gaming. Qualcomm's latest innovations include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 which has powered several Android flagships, including the Samsung Galaxy S22 Series.
In order to realize the potential of 5G mmWave in Indonesia, Qualcomm is expanding the reach and availability of 5G mmWave devices with several innovations that can be found in 5G smartphones, PCs, hotspots, and more. In Indonesia, Qualcomm participated in the Mandalika MotoGP event by cooperating with Telkomsel on 5G mmWave devices to demonstrate Telkomsel's Hyper 5G connectivity in the area.
Qualcomm is also delivering innovation beyond mobile with 5 key growth areas for the connected intelligent edge, including: next-gen ARM PC, metaverse, automotive, industrial transformation, and modern 5G networks.
In addition, Qualcomm also invited Chairwoman and CMO, PT Libera Technologies Indonesia (LITE), Jeanny Munaba who explained business cooperation with Qualcomm. As a company that has a diversified business in the education sector, LITE sees that the demand for Chromebook laptops is still high. Therefore, LITE is collaborating with Qualcomm to produce Chromebooks in Indonesia. In addition to advanced product specifications powered by Snapdragon 7c, Libera Merdeka products are also designed, manufactured and distributed by local companies, as required by government requirements at an TKDN level value of more than 47%.
