Won as the 2nd Runner Up at PMCC SEA 2021, ALIN UAY: "PMCC ID is Harder than SEA"
Is it true that PMCC ID is tougher than PMCC SEA 2021? Here are the comments by ALIN UAY who won as the 2nd Runner Up!

PUBG Mobile Campus Championship (PMCC) SEA 2021 has officially ended its tournaments last weekend. One of the Indonesian representative teams, ALIN UAY, managed to record a proud achievement after winning third place in this event. In 2022, ALIN UAY targets a more serious level of competition by targeting PMCO and PMPL ID Season 5.
Being the third best campus team in Southeast Asia is indeed an extraordinary achievement, but the team consisting of Ivan “ifyoou” Yudiansyah, Khofas “fas” Ridho, Moh “uno” Ikhlas Korompot, and Muhammad “xyzz” Ikhsan admitted that they had not maximum effort. They also told the reason why they failed to get a single WWCD out of 10 matches they played.
“(Our results) have not been optimal, actually, we are optimistic that we can win if we can get a WWCD in the last match. Unfortunately, there was a slight miscommunication in the last match that made us panic and rush to make a decision. Our late game's finishing was still not stable, communication in the late game also often cut, this is a homework for us in the future," said the four students of Universitas AMIKOM Yogyakarta.
Apart from that, the four ALIN UAY players together stated that the PMCC ID competition level was still higher than PMCC SEA. They claimed that they can play more freely on the Southeast Asian stage, on the other hand, they are more nervous when they meet Indonesian teams.
"Aim in SEA was not as hard as I thought it was," said Ikhlas, who made it into the top three of the Terminator in PMCC SEA 2021.
Before leaving to fight for UAY at PMCC ID 2021, the ALIN UAY team admitted that they had not received full support from the university. In fact, they had to give up the Mid-Semester Examination (UTS) to face the tournament. But their hard work is now paying off. The team, consisting of 3rd and 5th-semester students, received a warm welcome from fellow students and the campus.
“Friends on the university congratulated me. University's PR also promised scholarships for non-academic achievements and invited us to meet with the Rector. In the future, hopefully, there will be esports units that can be used as a forum for PUBG Mobile fans at UAY," they hoped.
With this moment, they also hope that more campuses will provide scholarships to students who excel in esports so that more students will be interested in competing in PMCC ID and SEA. "Hopefully the esports category scholarships will run smoothly for campuses in Indonesia, especially AMIKOM," said Ikhsan.
On the other hand, recording achievements at the campus level in Southeast Asia has not made them satisfied quickly. The four of them are ready to step up to a more prestigious tournament and mention PMCO and PMPL ID Season 5 as their main target in 2022. They also agreed to choose to fight together from the start rather than having to separate because they were recruited by different teams.
"The four of us have the same goal, namely we want to fight together from zero to more serious tournaments, namely PMCO and PMPL ID, like the journey of the Genesis Dogma GIDS," they said.
As a closing, the ALIN UAY squad would like to thank all their friends, family, campus, and the ALIN community who have supported them to score achievements at PMCC SEA 2021. Khofas as captain of ALIN UAY also advised students who want to have a career in PUBG esports Mobile to keep on fighting. "Winning is indeed number one, but hard work is more important", said Khofas.
