The General Chairperson of PB Esports Indonesia, Police General (Ret.) Budi Gunawan expressed his desire for esports to help economic growth in his speech. "In the next one to five years, PBESI will become an organization that we can truly be proud of, becoming the best sports organization from other sports," said Budi Gunawan at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD, Tangerang, Banten, Saturday (5/5). /3/2022).

"And most importantly, it also helps economic growth and creates jobs," continued Budi Gunawan. In addition, Budi Gunawan also challenged the management of PB Esports Indonesia to develop the esports ecosystem in Indonesia, especially in creating games that can become internationally competitive.

"So that domestic esport products can dominate in our domestic market. Don't let foreign games dominate the country. Can we do that?" said Budi Gunawan. The National Coordination Meeting for PB Esports Indonesia was held on March 4-6, 2022. The National Coordination Meeting was attended by all Indonesian Esports administrators at the central, provincial and district/city levels.

In addition to the PBESI administrators, this event was also attended by a number of state figures such as the General Chair of the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Lieutenant General TNI (Ret.) Marciano Norman, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Dr. H. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, PBESI Chief of Supervisor Diaz Hendropriyono, General Chairperson of IESPA Ibnu Riza and three well-known actors and public figures, Raffi Ahmad, Atta Halilintar and Ayu Dewi.

On this occasion, PB Esports Indonesia carried out socialization of the grand design of their work program, regulations, and taking recommendations. This activity also commemorates the 2nd Anniversary of PB Esports Indonesia.
