Genshin Impact update 1.1 brings 4 new characters into the game and one of them is Xinyan. Xinyan is a Rock ‘n Roll musician from Liyue. She uses a Claymore and deals Pyro DMG.

This girl suits the role of DPS or Sub-DPS. Xinyan’s Elemental Skill grants Pyro shield that can block and attack her opponents at the same time. Her Elemental Burst deals devastating AoE Pyro damage.

Weapon

Xinyan deals high Normal and Charge Attacks with the help of Pyro DMG from her Elemental Skill and Burst. Make sure to equip weapons that boost those effects:

Recommended

Wolf’s Gravestone (5✰): Increases ATK by 20%. On hit, attacks against enemies with less than 30% HP increase all party members' ATK by 40% for 12s. Can only occur once every 30s.

Skyward Pride (5✰): Increases all DMG by 8%. After using an Elemental Burst, Normal or Charged Attack, on hit, creates a vacuum blade that does 80% of ATK as DMG to enemies along its path. Lasts for 20s or 8 vacuum blades.

Other Selections

Sacrificial Greatsword (4✰): After damaging an opponent with an Elemental Skill, the skill has a 40% chance to end its own CD. Can only occur once every 30s.

Rainslasher (4✰): Increases DMG against enemies affected by Hydro or Electro by 20%

Serpent Spine: Every 4s a character is on the field, they will deal 6% more DMG and take 3% more DMG. This effect has a maximum of 5 stacks and will not be reset if the character leaves the field, but will be reduced by 1 stack when the character takes DMG.

Prototype Aminus (4✰) - F2P: On hit, Normal or Charged Attacks have a 50% chance to deal an additional 240% ATK DMG to enemies within a small AoE. Can only occur once every 15s.

Artifact

Knowing that Xinyan is a DPS, her main goal is to deal damage as big asa possible. So the main focus of her Artifact is:

• Flower: HP;
• Plume: ATK;
• Timepiece: ATK %;
• Goblet: Pyro DMG Bonus % or Physical DMG Bonus %;
• Circlet: Crita Rate/DMG %, ATK %.

For the substat, you can focus on Crit Rate %, Crit DMG %, ATK, and ATK %.

Recommended Artifact

Crimson Witch of Flame Set:

• 2 set: Pyro damage bonus +15%;
• 4 set: Increases Overloaded and Burning DMG by 40%. Increases Vaporize and Melt DMG by 15%. Using an Elemental Skill increases 2-Piece Set effects by 50% for 10s. Max 3 stacks.

With the full set of Crimson Witch of Flame, Xinyan relies on Pyro DMG to beat the opponent. This set greatly affects Xinyan’s Elemental Burst since the effect of this Artifact set boost Pyro DMG.

Noblesse Oblige Set:

• 2 set: Elemental Burst DMG +20%;
• 4 set: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

The majority of Xinyan’s damage came from her Pyro DMG. Since the initial damage of her ultimate is big, this Artifact set increases that damage to another level. After using her Elemental Burst, switch to another character to activate the ATK +20% effect of Noblesse Oblige.

 Gladiator’s Finale + Bloodstained Chivalry Set:

• 2 set: ATK +18%;
• 2 set: Physical DMG +25%.

If you choose this Artifact set, make sure to spam Xinyan’s “white attack” or Physical DMG from her Normal and Charge Attacks.

Other Selections

Noblesse Oblige Set:

• 2 set: Elemental Burst DMG +20%;
• 4 set: Using an Elemental Burst increases all party members' ATK by 20% for 12s. This effect cannot stack.

Instructor Set:

• 2 set: Elemental Mastery +80;
• 4 set: Upon triggering an Elemental Reaction, increases all party members' Elemental Mastery by 120 for 8s.

The Exile Set:

• 2 set: Energy Recharge +20%;
• 4 set: Using an Elemental Burst regenerates 2 Energy for all party members (excluding the wearer) every 2s for 6s. This effect cannot stack.
