The M7 World Championship has marked a historic milestone in the global esports industry. This premier Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) tournament has not only delivered world-class competition but has also achieved an unprecedented breakthrough in audience numbers.

In the modern esports landscape, viewership metrics have become one of the most important indicators of an ecosystem’s strength. Peak Concurrent Viewers (PCU) have long been used to measure a tournament’s reach, popularity, and competitive appeal. At M7, MLBB has successfully pushed beyond previous limits and established a new Highest Mobile Esports Viewership Record.

This achievement has confirmed that the Highest Mobile Esports Viewership Record is no longer an unreachable benchmark. Through M7, MLBB has proven its ability to compete directly with long-established PC-based esports titles in terms of global audience engagement.

As a result, M7 has been widely regarded as one of the most significant tournaments in esports history. Analysts have agreed that this event has elevated mobile esports to a new global standard, where the Highest Mobile Esports Viewership Record has become a concrete reality rather than a distant ambition.

Highest Mobile Esports Viewership Record Broken in Alter Ego vs SRG Match

The historic moment occurred during the lower bracket final between Alter Ego (Indonesia) and Selangor Red Giants (Malaysia). In this decisive match, MLBB officially broke the Highest Mobile Esports Viewership Record by recording an extraordinary 5.5 million Peak Concurrent Viewers.

Alter Ego had delivered a convincing performance and secured a 3–1 victory over SRG. This win had not only sent Alter Ego to the M7 grand final but had also reignited Indonesia’s hope of lifting the M Series trophy for the second time, after EVOS had previously claimed the title at M1.

According to data from Esports Charts, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has ranked second among the most-watched esports games of all time by peak viewers, trailing only League of Legends, which had reached 6.85 million peak viewers. MLBB has surpassed Free Fire, PUBG Mobile, and Counter-Strike in terms of peak audience numbers.

With this achievement, MLBB has officially recorded the highest peak viewership ever achieved by a mobile esports tournament. On a broader scale, the 5.5 million PCU figure has also positioned M7 as the second-highest peak viewership in esports history, regardless of platform.

The potential for this record to be broken again has remained very real. The M7 grand final between Alter Ego and Aurora PH has been projected to attract an even larger audience, driven by massive fan bases from Indonesia and the Philippines. If that scenario materializes, the Highest Mobile Esports Viewership Record could once again be rewritten on the grandest stage of the M7 World Championship.
