Capcom finally announced the release date of Resident Evil Village during a live stream event. The horror game will be released on 7 May 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. 

Capcom also shared the latest trailer for the game that you can watch below.

We can see the antagonist of Resident Evil Village, Lady Dimitrescu. She has three daughters that can transform into clouds of insects. We don’t know their connection to Chris Redfield who killed the main character’s, Ethan Winters, wife. Chris also kidnapped Ethan’s daughter which started Resident Evil Village.

Capcom also stated that Resident Evil Village is a combination of Resident Evil 7 and Resident Evil 4. Puzzle elements and inventory management also returns in this game. We can also see that the merchant is drastically changed.

Capcom also announced that PS5 owners can try the demo version of Resident Evil Village titled Maiden. The Demo is available starting today. Capcom promises that other platforms will get the demo too.

It was mentioned that Resident Evil Village has a multiplayer mode named RE:Verse. It’s a deathmatch mode where all iconic characters from the Resident Evil universe meet.
