Looking at the specs above, maybe it’s not what most gamers want. Since the monitor is considered normal and the resolution is not that high. But, BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K is not designed to spoil your eyes with high resolution, the monitor is made so you can track fast-moving objects smoothly with minimum flicker. Not to mention the gaming monitor use Twisted Nematic (TN) panel that is known to help pro players win several esports tournaments at the international level.

Design
base stand. The dimension of the monitor is 57.1 x (44.29 – 52.12) x 20 cm. With the stand installed, the monitor weighs around 6.2 kg. The monitor also has a non-glare feature. So the user doesn’t have to worry about light being reflected on the display. There’s a red ‘Z’ at the back of the monitor, the logo of ZOWIE.
What makes the monitor different from XL2546 is the base stand, the base stand of XL2546K is smaller than XL2546 allowing more space for the user’s mouse and keyboard on the table. The user can also adjust the base stand by rotating it to the sides. The user can make multiple adjustments to find the perfect position to use BenQ ZOWIE XL2546k.
To fulfill what gamers need, the user can adjust the height of BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K, from 33mm to 521mm. You can swivel the monitor to the left and right up to 45°. Don’t worry about your sitting position, because you can tilt the monitor up to 23° or down up to -5°. The user can also rotate the monitor to 90° Pivot mode or the portrait mode.
Besides the base stand, BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K also has VESA mounting so you can install the monitor into your wall mount or arm bracket.
On the back of the monitor, you will find several buttons such as:

Unlike BenQ ZOWIE XL2546's stand that is from steel, the base of XL2546K is from steel but layered by plastic. There's a hole for cable management so every cable plugged into the monitor can pass through the hole and go behind your desk.
For connectivity, BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K is has a complete set of ports such as :

Another characteristic of the XL series from BenQ ZOWIE is the wing-like Shield, the Shield is installed to the left and right of the monitor. It’s supposed to help the user maintain their focus on the monitor and not get distracted by what’s going behind the monitor. Unlike XL2546 that still uses screws and bolts, the Shield on XL2546K is easier to install because of the lack of screws.

DyAc+ is a technology created by ZOWIE to reduce blurring on LCD. With this tech, the monitor can reduce shakind in the game and help increase recoil control for games like CSG

BenQ-Zowie XL2546K supports Adaptive Sync AMD FreeSync. Interestingly, the monitor is also G-Sync Compatible. To activate G-Sync Compatible, the monitor has to be connected via DisplayPort.
Response Time 0.5 ms GtG
Gamers need a monitor with a quick response time. The monitor has a 0.5ms GTG response time. This removes the Ghosting effect when playing games.
S-Switch
S-Switch is a small controller connected via the micro USB port to the monitor. It works as a quick access menu with 6 buttons and a scroll to navigate through the menu without pressing the buttons at the back of the monitor.
XL Setting To Share
This is a feature used to save the profile setting of the monitor and then share it with your friends. The app can be downloaded for free and available only for BenQ-ZOWIE XL series users.
Black eQualizer
Black eQualizer increases visibility in dark areas without making it too bright. This allows the user to see objects clearly in low-lighting areas in the game.
Color Vibrance
This feature is used to adjust the color and tone to a higher level to separate the targets in the game. By adjusting the Color Vibrance, the thickness of colors so it’s easier to spot different colors on the monitor.

User Experience
Thanks to BenQ Indonesia, the writer got the opportunity to try BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K and compare it to BenQ ZOWIE XL2546. The writer tests the performance of the monitor after turning on all of the features and plays popular FPS games such as CS:GO and Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
One of the features that the writer enjoys the most is the 240Hz refresh rate. Thanks to this, there’s no image tearing and ghosting when the enemy is moving quickly.
Another interesting thing about the BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K is the 6 preset setting that you can use. FPS 1, FPS 2, FPS 3, Gamer 1, Gamer 2, and Gamer 3. Personally, the writer likes FPS 2 the most because it’s not too bright and the colors are accurate.
Another feature that stood out the most is the Black Equalizer. The feature brightens the dark corners in the game, with 20 levels of Black Equalizer that can be adjusted. The feature helps the writer see objects or enemies in dark rooms or low-lighting areas. The feature greatly helps the writer since the enemy is more visible in the tunnels of CSGO.

The DyAc+ (Dynamic Accuracy) feature on BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K also has two stages, High and Premium. The writer personally selects Premium and the result is awesome since it minimalizes motion blur when the enemies or objects are moving quickly. With this feature, the writer can read the enemy’s movement with great precision.

In COD: Black Ops Cold War, telling the difference between an enemy or ally is a bit tricky, but with Color Vibrance. The writer can set the color gradient to what the writer likes. There are 20 levels of Color Vibrance. And thanks to this feature, the enemy can spot a moving enemy thanks to the color that is more bright.
Power Consumption
People must be curious about the power consumption of BenQ ZOWIE XL2546K, right? The writer feels like the power consumption on this monitor is quite low. Where in several schemes, the monitor is recorded consuming between 20 to 23 Watt. this all depends on the preset that the user is using.
