Ragnarok M: Eternal Love was first released on 28 November 2018. The game was met with many players, from veteran Ragnarok players who wanted to reminisce to beginners who wanted to play a new MMORPG game. The writer has  been playing Ragnarok M: Eternal since the release day, but went on a break for a long time. For first impression, the writer loves RO 2.0 because of the new changes, even to the point where the writer thought of it as a new game!

So, what are the new things in Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2.0.? The writer will share everything on this review, according to a comeback player!

1. Amazing Visual Improvement

For old ROM players, the first thing they will notice is the different visual. The picture and animation is much better and smoother, the visual aspect is so fresh that it feels like a new Ragnarok game.

Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2.0 brings a big change from the visual aspect. The game’s visual, from character, buildings, and skill animation are much more detailed.

The design of cities in Midgard is also changed. Old ROM players who returned to play might get shocked with the new Prontera. The same with izlude, Morroc, Payon, etc.

2. Fresh New UI and Character Menu

The visual aspect is not the only thing changed, the User Interface (UI) Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2 is also changed. The new UI is simpler, neat and more accessible. The design is more comfortable to look at.

The writer didn’t find it too challenging to access the new UI, the writer only needed some time to adjust to the new UI. Playing the game with the new UI is more free and with no disruption.

ROM version 2.0 also has a new camera setting. You can select between three camera options, Fixed Camera, 2.5D, and 3D. The Fixed Camera mode is similar to the Ragnarok Online era with a still perspective. The 2.5D mode is the standard camera mode of Ragnarok M: Eternal Love. while the 3D mode allows the player to adjust the camera freely.

There’s also a change in the character creation menu. Creating a new character in Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2.0  is more interactive.

3. New Job: Ninja

Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2.0 introduced a new Job, Ninja. To be a Ninja, you need to go to a new city named Cryptura Academy and follow the tutorial.

The Ninja job offers many unique skills. There are three branches on the Ninja job, Flowing Blade, Wind Monster, and Ninjutsu. Each branch will have different gameplay, so choose the one that you like.

The appearance of Ninja looks awesome, from the clothes design to the attack animation. But there’s one confusing aspect about the Ninja job. The design of the Flowing Blade Ninja is more akin to samruai than a ninja, but at least it still looks cool.

4. Easier Grinding and Farming

Ragnarok M: Eternal Love is known for its heavy grinding and farming. You need time and effort to make your character strong. But everything is easier in Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2.0.

Did you know that you can level up your character to 120 in less than an hour? Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2.0 presents a mission in Cryptura Academy with a lot of rewards so you can level up your character to 120 and get a Tier 3 job.

Cryptura Academy makes ROM playing experience more practical, excellent for veteran and newbies. No more days of grinding to reach Job 3.

Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2.0 also presents a new feature called Offline Battle. You can grind and farm without controlling your character or AFK. Sadly, the feature is available only if you purchase the Offline Battle Certificate with BCC.

5. Verdict

Version 2.0 of Ragnarok M: Eternal Love is an impactful update for the game. The visual really depicts a 2021 MMORPG game. But you can still feel the classic impression.

The gameplay of Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2.0  has a new direction. Now the players are more focused on farming items to make their character stronger. Grinding is the second priority. In the initial version, grinding and farming has to go side by side so it was tough to build a character. 

The writer recommends ROM veteran players that went on a break to return to the game. It presents a new experience. 

New players should try Ragnarok M: Eternal Love 2.0 too. Although the game has been around for 3 years, you can chase veteran players and easily enjoy endgame content.
