Are you looking for a light mouse that is fun to play FPS games? Maybe you can consider Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro.
Gadget | 28 December
Playing first-person shooter (FPS) games is indeed a very exciting activity. First, play FPS games with friends in a team. Currently there are many popular and widely played FPS games, such as Valorant, Fortnite, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and others.
But for shooting targets in FPS games to be right on target, of course, a supportive mouse peripheral is needed. So to answer this, Razer released a mouse called DeathAdder V3 Pro in 2022. Where this mouse is included in the lightweight mouse category, so it is really suitable for gamers who play FPS games.
Coincidentally, the writer had the opportunity from Razer to try this DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse product. After using it for two weeks, here's the author's review that you can see guys.
Unboxing
The first feeling when you get the DeathAdder V3 Pro box looks very good. Like other Razer peripheral boxes, the box is black and green with a photo of the mouse itself and some information on the back of the box. Apart from that, there is a holographic sticker from Metrodata which proves that the product on the market is an original product from Razer.
Inside the box it looks very simple, where there is only the DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse itself, an information book on product usage, a Type A to Type C cable, a USB dongle adapter, a wireless USB dongle, and an additional mouse grip. Although the contents are very minimalist, but the most important thing is the mouse itself.
Light Weight
When lifting the mouse from the box, the writer was quite surprised by the weight of the DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse. Because this mouse only weighs about 63 grams (without cables), it feels very light in the hand. This light weight certainly provides an advantage for gamers who want to have flexibility in playing games, especially FPS. Where FPS games do require fast hand movements, so a lightweight mouse is definitely the right choice.
Fits in Hand
The DeathAdder V3 Pro measures 128.0 mm (length) x 68.0 mm (width) x 44.0 (height). This dimension feels very right in the hands of the author, who has large palms. The mouse is held perfectly in the palm of the hand and is not slippery. It's just that, because the surface of the mouse is made of ABS plastic with a matte finish, it often leaves sweat and oil marks. So you have to be diligent and often clean the surface layer so it doesn't get dirty quickly.
Good Material
Overall the DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse is made of ABS plastic which is painted matte black. The plastic material used is also not too thick even though it doesn't actually make it feel fragile when held. But this is because Razer wants to pursue a lighter weight in this mouse.
For the cable section, the DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse uses a type of braided paracord cable which is also often used for mice that have light weight features. Braided paracord cable itself is included in the category of cable types that are flexible and also light. So it's not easy to tangle and easy to clean up. As a result, mouse movements feel more flexible and certainly don't interfere with fast reflex movements when playing.
The braided paracord cable from DeathAdder V3 Pro has a length of 1.8 meters, so it is quite safe even if your PC is under a table or in a position that is quite far away. For connectivity, this mouse also uses USB, so it's easy to plug in. But Razer has also embedded a USB dongle adapter, which is useful if your PC is under the table, so to provide low latency you can use it by placing it on the table.
Has Been Validated By A Number Of Esports Athletes
The interesting thing about DeathAdder V3 Pro is that this mouse has been validated by a number of well-known esports athletes, including; Swag from Copenhagen Flames, MaKo from DRX Visions Strikers, Zest from DRX Vision Strikers, Steel from T1 - Prodigy, Faker from T1, Stax from DRX Vision Strikers, Dexter from MOUZ, and Kaiser from Mad Lionds. Of course, there's no doubt that this lightweight mouse is very reliable in professional esports schemes.
Feature
Mouse DeathAdder V3 Pro offers a number of features that spoil gamers. Where this mouse uses the Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor, which is often used by most lightweight mice. So that this mouse has a DPI range from 750 DPI to 30000 DPI.
For your information, DPI stands for Dots per Inch alias dot density (dot) color of an image. So that the higher the DPI range of a mouse, the faster it can scan the dot density.
Apart from that, this mouse also has two additional buttons located on the left side, as well as additional buttons at the bottom of the mouse for fast DPI switching shortcuts. The two additional buttons on the left can also be customized as desired. Of course, to set it up, Razer has also provided a special application for DeathAdder V3 Pro, namely Razer Synapse which can be downloaded for free.
Razer Synapse
For the Razer Synapse application for DeathAdder V3 Pro, you can download it HERE.
In this application, users will be able to make various customizations. Starting from setting each button on the mouse, Sensivity, Polling Rate, Sensor Height, Smart Tracking Calibration, Wireless Power Saving, and Low Power Mode. All customizations made can also be saved so they won't be lost.
What Should the Best Mouse Poll Rate?
The best polling rate for the mouse depends on the specific needs of the usage. At its lowest (125 Hz polling rate) it is more than adequate for everyday web browsing. However, if you like to play competitive games with high precision, then a low mouse delay is very important. Some professional gamers really like the smoother mouse feel, while others value precision.
What are the Current Polling Rates?
There are a total of 4 different polling rates available – 125, 250, 500 and 1000 Hz. See the table below for the polling rate and the corresponding reporting time delay (rate = 1000 / interval). A higher polling rate indicates a smaller response delay.
You can find these four poll levels on the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro and manage them via Razer Synapse.

Testing
When testing the capabilities of DeathAdder V3 Pro, the writer tried to play the CS:GO game with various DPI settings and the results did not disappoint. The author feels very comfortable when using a DPI of 800 or 1200, because the movement in the game feels very fluid and has very low delay.
Even when trying to test the 3D AIM Trainer in Tile Frenzy mode, the DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse also gave its best performance. Again, the cursor movement moves without delay so that it provides good precision.
In the Mouse Rate Checker, the DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse even has a maximum polling rate that reaches up to 1085Hz when using a DPI of 1600. Of course, the higher the polling rate a mouse has, the better the reading speed of dots will be.
Conclusion
After trying the DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse for two weeks, the writer feels quite comfortable in daily use and when playing games, especially FPS games. This mouse, which is included in the lightweight category, provides an advantage so that the hands can move freely without burden. Moreover, this mouse also uses a paracord type cable which is also quite light and provides high flexibility. So the writer doesn't have to worry about the cable getting tangled and stiff if stored for too long.
The Focus Pro 30K Optical sensor that is embedded in the DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse also provides a very good user experience. But with the price offered, the sensor should be able to provide something even better.
The ABS plastic material on the DeathAdder V3 Pro does provide the advantage of being very light. But the drawback is this mouse layer that can leave sweat and oil marks. In addition, this latest series is not like the previous generation which has RGB lights on the body, so this mouse is only suitable for those of you who are looking for a gaming mouse that is really light and has powerful performance.
For the price, the Razer DeathAdder V3 Pro mouse itself is priced at around IDR 2,500,000 in e-commerce. How, are you interested in having it?
