The global interactive entertainment developer and publisher, miHoYo, announced that the Genshin Impact v2.5 update, "When the Sakura Bloom", will be coming on 16 February 2022. The darkness looming from an unknown place shrouds the newly opened area of Enkanomiya, posing a challenge that the Travelers have never faced before. On the other side of Inazuma, the story of Raiden Shogun continues, followed by Yae Miko’s Story Quest as the new 5-star character.

Genshin Impact is a free Open-World ARPG that takes players into the visually stunning Teyvat. Players will take on the role of the mysterious Traveler, embarking on a journey to find their lost sibling, and uncover the secrets of Teyvat along the way. Currently, players can explore Mondstadt, Liyue Harbor, and Inazuma, three of the seven great nations of Teyvat. Each nation has a unique culture and story, vast landscapes teeming with various creatures, monsters, mysteries, and treasures waiting to be unveiled. New nations, stories, characters, and seasonal events will be released soon.

The new seasonal event "Three Realms Gateway Offering" will challenge the Travelers in a dark and mysterious version of Enkanomiya. 

Once they set foot in the area, the Character will keep on accumulating the darkness of Corrosion. The Traveler will get a new special gadget, Bokuso Box, to help increase your resistance towards Corrosion, gain new abilities, and defeat certain monsters. Opening treasure chests, opening Waypoints, and completing exploration targets in the event area can help level up the Bokuso Box. This event will run during the v2.5 update and will give players enough time to explore every corner and earn great rewards, including Primogem and the new 4-star Catalyst weapon: Oathsworn Eye.

Powerful enemies appear in Inazuma. In the underwater area of Enkanomiya, players can find Standard Bearer, Line Breaker, and Defender of the Shadowy Husk enemy type. Each of them comes with different weapons, elements, and abilities. For example, Standard Bearers will create a shield for themselves and Shadowy Husks around them against Characters with shields. On the other part of Inazuma, a powerful foe of the Domain Trounce appears as Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest continues. This battle will give players challenging battle mechanics.

Other allies also come to help. Yae Miko, the chief of Grand Narukami Shrine, will join as the new 5-star Electro Catalyst character. With her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst, Yae Miko can provide constant damage outside the battlefield and high burst damage when she’s deployed. Meanwhile, players can also learn the legend of Inazuma from Yae Miko. The Yae Miko Wish Event will be available in the early stages of the update, followed by the Raiden Shogun and Sangonomiya Kokomi Wish Events.

In V2.5, the "Divine Intelligence" event will give an opportunity to players to create their own Domain. Participants can customize their own Domain with various terrain, mechanics, traps, buffs, and completion criteria. On top of that, players can also try out other players’ Domains.

A series of concept arts about Chasm has also been shown to fans and players in the latest Special Event Version 2.5. Starting from V2.6, players can explore new parts of the Liyue map.

The Genshin Impact V2.5 update, which is slated to be released on 16 February 2022, supports a cross-save feature between PlayStation®, PC, and mobile. Genshin Impact can be downloaded on PS4 and PS5 via PlayStation™Store, and Android from Google Play, App Store for iOS users, and PC on Epic Games Store or Genshin Impact’s official page (genshin.mihoyo.com).
