Vi Joins 2XKO as Eighth Fighter, Closed Beta 2 Coming September 9 for PC

Riot Games has just announced that Vi, one of the most iconic characters from League of Legends, is officially joining the roster of fighters in their upcoming fighting game, 2XKO. The announcement came with a new trailer showcasing Vi’s in-game fighting style and mechanics.

Vi is well-known as a fierce close-range fighter. In 2XKO, she retains her signature style—sporting her massive Hextech gauntlets and unleashing powerful and rapid punches. She is classified as a rushdown brawler, a fighter archetype known for relentless pressure and aggressive offense.

The trailer highlights Vi’s agility and dynamic playstyle. She features a fast back-dash movement, perfect for repositioning before launching back into the fight. One of her special attacks can interrupt enemy combos while dealing significant damage. Her moves are designed to keep opponents on the defensive, making it tough for them to find breathing room.

For fans of the Arcane animated series on Netflix, Vi’s arrival in 2XKO will be an exciting addition. She looks as bold and powerful as ever, and her fighting mechanics seem especially fun for players who enjoy fast-paced, dominating gameplay.

Closed Beta 2 for 2XKO Starts September 9, 2025 — PC Only

Alongside Vi’s reveal, Riot also announced that the second Closed Beta Test for 2XKO will begin on September 9, 2025, exclusively for PC players.

This follows two earlier testing phases called Alpha Lab 1 and Alpha Lab 2, with the latter concluding in April 2025. Since then, Riot has remained silent on public testing—until now.

Players who previously participated in either Alpha Lab test will automatically gain access to the Closed Beta, with no need to re-register. For new players, Riot is opening registration to give more people a chance to try the game early.

Although Riot hasn't confirmed the exact duration of the Closed Beta, they have stated that it will run longer than previous test phases. The servers will remain live throughout the test, barring any scheduled maintenance, giving players more uninterrupted time with the game.

Please note that the Closed Beta is currently only available on PC. Console versions for PlayStation and Xbox are expected to follow closer to the full launch, which is still scheduled for later in 2025.
