The announcement of Rippo's retirement took place on Sunday, June 15, 2025 where Rippo received an award from MPL Malaysia. In his farewell message, Rippo first thanked everyone who had supported his career journey in MPL.

He then announced that he would retire from the MPL scene that had made his name great until now. Rippo stated that he had tried hard for the past 2 seasons.

“Okay, thank you all for supporting me from the start. From (MPL MY) season 3, my first time in MPL until now in season 15. How long have I been (in my career) in MPL, you still support me even though there are ups, there are downs, we know that fortune is everywhere, sometimes we go up, sometimes we go down,” said Rippo.

“But this time, I think I should take a break (retire) from the MPL scene. Because, I have tried 2 seasons but got nothing. It is better, I think, for me to step down and give opportunities to players who have the potential to play in MPL,” added Rippo.

He then added, the hope that there will be players who can continue or be like Rippo in MPL MY. With his iconic, distinctive style, but also has skills that can drive the team to victory.

“I hope, there is someone who (becomes) my successor. God willing,” he concluded. Rippo's message was warmly welcomed by all MPL MY spectators who attended the venue and MPL proudly paid their last respects to Rippo by performing his last iconic taunt, namely "SIUUUUUU".
