Recently, Survivors is stormed with an unpleasant rumor about Garena is yet to pay Cristiano Ronaldo for his likeness in Free Fire x CR7. The rumor says that the soccer superstar is rumored to visit Garena's office directly for the payment.

The rumor appeared for the first time via a screenshot stated by one of the famous Indonesian media. In the uploaded image, it is said that CR7 and his assistant visited the Garena main office for the rest of the payment.

As one of the biggest video game collaborations this year, the Free Fire x CR7 is welcomed by Survivors with enthusiasm. But, there are still some parties that hate this collaboration by spreading hoaxes.

Both Garena and CR7 never stated about this unpaid payment, and after further investigation, the news like the image uploaded is not available on the local media’s website.

If we take a closer look, there are many mistakes in the title of the news written on the image, making it like amateur editing. It's possible that the image uploaded was spread by irresponsible parties and wanted to attack Garena, Free Fire, CR7, and even one of the local media that is presumed on spreading the hoax.

Reporting from booyah.co.id, the Talent Manager & Marketing of Garena Indonesia, Kriswanto “KULGAR” Ari, denies the rumor.

“Ronaldo is unpaid? Where does that news come from!? We already paid for him. He won’t collaborate if we don't pay him,” said Ari.

And the conclusion is, the rumor regarding Garena is yet to pay Cristiano Ronaldo is a hoax. Be wise in using social media and don’t believe everything you just read.
