The 2025 Thailand SEA Games are just around the corner, set to take place in December. In anticipation, each participating nation is gearing up, particularly focusing on their National Team (Timnas) delegations for the various events.

Esports is among the competitive categories at the 2025 SEA Games, featuring Free Fire as one of the match types. This game was also included in the Esports lineup during the 2022 Vietnam SEA Games. Consequently, the Indonesian Esports Executive Board (PB ESI) has swiftly begun assembling the Indonesian Free Fire National Team, aiming to compete in the upcoming 2025 Thailand SEA Games.

It's worth noting that Indonesia secured both Gold and Silver medals in the previous SEA Games. Naturally, the country hopes to replicate this success in the forthcoming event. The finest players have been selected and are prepared to uphold the legacy of the Indonesian Free Fire National Team.

Indonesia's Free Fire National Team Lineup for the 2025 SEA Games

On May 5, 2025, PB ESI proudly introduced the Indonesian Free Fire National Team for the upcoming 2025 SEA Games. The selection of athletes and coaching staff was made through direct appointments. Moving forward, the team will engage in a comprehensive training regimen and a series of trials.

The Indonesian Free Fire National Team will feature two squads: Free Fire National Team 1 and Free Fire National Team 2, each with distinct athletes and coaching staff. PB ESI shared this announcement on their official Instagram account. "We are thrilled to unveil the Free Fire Team 1, representing Indonesia at the 33rd SEA Games in Thailand 2025. This squad comprises top Indonesian Free Fire esports athletes, ready to showcase the Red and White flag on the Southeast Asian stage:

• Aby Siliwangi,
• Wira Gunawan,
• Abdullah Kamal Hasibuan,
• M. Haidir Ali,
• M. Fikry Haikal

"The team will be guided by coach Adi Gustiawan, known for his exceptional ability to build world-class esports teams, alongside two skilled assistant coaches, Laurensius Ade Putra and Muslih Wahyudi R, who have a proven track record in mentoring young Indonesian esports talents at various prestigious events," stated PB ESI.

"With unwavering spirit and determination to bring pride to the nation, this team will undergo a specialized training program to ensure they are fully prepared to win and raise the Red and White Flag atop the podium. Let's look forward to their commitment to delivering their best for Indonesia!"

It's exciting to anticipate the partnership between Muslih Wahyudi R, also known as "Fayad," and Adi Gustiawan, referred to as Adyy. They previously teamed up while coaching the Indonesian Free Fire National Team during the 2022 Vietnam SEA Games, where Adyy served as the manager and Fayad took on the role of head coach. 

On Wednesday, May 7, 2025, PB ESI proudly revealed the lineup for the Free Fire 2 National Team, which includes:

• Erwin B,
• Kahfi Alfathan,
• Muh Raehan,
• Rafli Aidil.

"This talented team will be guided by Coach Ahmad Fadly Masturoh, who brings a wealth of experience in building competitive esports teams at the national level. He will be supported by Assistant Coach Arif Kurniawan, recognized for his role in nurturing young talent within the Indonesian Free Fire community,"
