The recent match between RRQ Hoshi and ONIC Philippines at the SPS Mobile Masters 2025 tournament has stirred up some controversy within the Indonesian MLBB community. It's no surprise, given the comments made by RRQ's CEO, Andrian "AP" Pauline, which sparked a wave of negative feedback.

During the event, RRQ AP declared, "This is our time, not ONIC!" to rally support for RRQ Hoshi. However, his remarks were met with backlash from fans who felt the taunt was inappropriate.

The situation intensified when ONIC triumphed over RRQ Hoshi in the sixth week of the third day of MPL ID S15 on Sunday, May 4, 2025. Kairi echoed AP's earlier comments, further igniting fan reactions across social media. In light of the uproar, Mr. AP eventually addressed the issue.

He issued an apology for his earlier remarks made during the SPS Mobile Masters 2025, acknowledging the stir they caused among fans. What led to this response from Mr. AP regarding the heated discussions online?

RRQ AP Expresses Regret For His Statement During the SPS Mobile Masters 2025, Which Stirred Up Controversy

Mr. AP addressed the controversy surrounding his remarks during the SPS Mobile Masters 2025 event through his Instagram account. He mentioned that his comments led to personal insults directed at the RRQ players on their Instagram profiles.

He stated, "My remarks to ONIC PH before the ESL finals had lasting repercussions, as many expressed their anger through direct messages and comments on the RRQ players' Instagram accounts." Mr. AP clarified that his intention was solely to support his team, which was representing Indonesia in the tournament held in their home country.

He explained, "During ESL event, RRQ, as the host, aimed to uplift the morale of their players and fans while facing a world champion team that had never lost a tournament. They were confident in their desire for victory, but it seems many were sensitive to the context, even though Indonesia was the host and should feel assured."

He also mentioned that he faced backlash from fans and regretted that the RRQ players experienced similar negativity. "I was the only one targeted, despite all the caster hosts also backing RRQ during ESL. The players and Kingdom bore the brunt of the hate, even though my comments were directed at ONIC PH, not ONIC ID."

"However, it seemed ONIC ID took offense during the interview. I will refrain from further comments.'

In conclusion, Mr. AP apologized for the widespread discussion and expressed his respect for ONIC, stating, "I sincerely apologize to all SONIC and its players who felt hurt or offended. This is ONIC's time, not RRQ's. I respect ONIC."
