Shocking news came from the Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) team, officially parting ways with their promising young jungler, Praba "Hazle" Balakosa, also known as RRQ Hazle. After being loaned to the AERO team in MPL Malaysia, RRQ Hazle was officially released by Team RRQ. This news was quite confusing considering that RRQ also had a team competing in MPL MY Season 17, RRQ Tora, in MPL Malaysia. The departure from RRQ Hazle also strongly indicated that Hazle would not be joining RRQ Tora.
The big question now arises regarding RRQ Hazle's future destination. Rumors from Dunia Games (DG) suggest that RRQ Hazle's new team is likely already on the MPL MY Season 17 roster, namely the Chinese team Invictus Gaming (iG), which has officially expanded from China to Malaysia. Finally, RRQ Hazle's new team was revealed, and it was confirmed that he had joined the team that would compete in MPL MY Season 17. Where did RRQ Hazle land? Read the full review here.
RRQ Hazle Officially Joins Invictus Gaming in MPL MY Season 17
Some time ago, the "New Era" of MPL Malaysia Season 17 officially began. Along with the "New Era" press conference for MPL MY Season 17, MPL Malaysia began announcing each of the competing teams and their complete rosters. There, RRQ Hazle's new team was finally revealed, with Hazle officially joining Invictus Gaming (iG) from China. This news confirmed the rumors from Dunia Games (DG) regarding Hazle's new team.
Not only Hazle, but several familiar faces were also present to strengthen Invictus Gaming. Some of them are players and coaching staff who are also from Indonesia. Here is the complete Invictus Gaming (iG) roster:
- Ilman Zareef “Gojes” bin Zulkifli - EXP Laner
- Praba “Hazle” Balakosa - Jungler
- Adhitya Zulkarnain “Spencer” Barus - Mid Laner
- Adam “Melqt” Bin Hamidun - Gold Laner
- Cham Zhen “Cayden” Yee - Roamer
- Abdul Azim “NovaXCobar” bin Abdul Rashid - Roamer/Subs
- Abraham “Bam” Unida - Coach
- Aep “Jester” Saepudin - Assistant Coach
It can be seen that Invictus Gaming's roster is a mix of promising young stars from Indonesia and Malaysia. The renowned Filipino coaching staff, Coach Bam, returns with Coach Jes, also known as Jester, who has experience with top teams like Bigetron Esports, ONIC Esports, AERO Esports (Coach Bam), HomeBois, DEWA United Esports, and Tiger Wong Esports (Coach Jes).
Meanwhile, in terms of players or the roster, we can see great potential in players like Gojes as EXP Laner, Hazle as Jungler, Spencer as Midlaner, Melqt as Gold Laner, and two reliable Roamers, Cayden and NovaXcobar. In the Dunia Games (DG) Breakdown podcast, Redzi AP stated that Invictus Gaming (iG) is likely to purchase RRQ Hazle, or conduct a buyout, to eliminate the loan clause like Gojes from Selangor Red Giants (SRG).
What do you think, guys? Is this a great opportunity for RRQ Hazle to shine in MPL MY Season 17 with Invictus Gaming? Will he repeat the massive success he achieved with RRQ Hoshi and/or Geek Fam during his Indonesian career? Let's continue to support Hazle's journey with Invictus Gaming in MPL MY Season 17.
