The journey of the MPL Indonesia teams to the MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2025 is nearing its end. ONIC Esports became the first team to represent Indonesia at the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup. The defeat to ONIC in the Upper Bracket Final did not close the opportunity for RRQ Hoshi to qualify for the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup.

However, they have to go through a crucial battle against Geek Fam because the new format requires them to play in a best of 7 (BO7) series format to determine who will advance to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup and become the team that will face ONIC in the Grand Final.

Defeating Geek Fam, RRQ Hoshi Qualifies for the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup

The match between RRQ Hoshi and Geek Fam in the Lower Bracket Final of the MPL ID S15 playoffs took place on Saturday, June 14, 2025 where both teams will play in the best of 7 (BO7) series mode. This match is very prestigious, the winner will get a ticket to the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup and advance to the Grand Final.

Playing in game 1, RRQ briefly took control of the game over Geek Fam. However, Geek got the first Lord and slowly began to disarm RRQ's defense. Not only one, Geek got the second Lord and returned to attack RRQ's defense. Again, the King was still able to survive.

The fight for the third Lord became a moment that was detrimental to RRQ. Kennzyskie managed to defeat 3 players from RRQ. Momentum was gained, Toyy was left alone and could not do much and Geek managed to get game 1. Playing in game 2, Geek Fam briefly took control at the beginning of the game.

RRQ was made confused, however they were still able to survive and the game continued. The comeback moment occurred, Sutsujin got Lord and RRQ launched a counterattack. Although they had gained momentum, Geek again pushed back the King.

Brilliant initiation was carried out by Toyy and Dyrennn, Kennzyskie managed to retaliate but again and again, Dyrennn with his Cici wiped out the Geek players. The game was still going on, the fight for the third Lord became a disadvantageous moment for Geek. Gobs and Aboyy were defeated, RRQ took control.

Maykidss fell, the conditions were not favorable for Geek. Lord was successfully stolen by Maykids, but it did not mean much. RRQ continued to attack Geek, trying to open a path to victory. Teamfight occurred again in the 19th minute, Geek players fell, Rinz gained momentum.

RRQ got Maykidss again, straight push was done. Gobs was left and became the last person to be defeated finally, RRQ managed to equalize in game 2. Moving on to game 3, Geek again got the advantage at the beginning. However, RRQ did not give up easily and they managed to get the first Lord.

RRQ nimbly managed to disarm Geek Fam's defense. However, the game continued again. Toyy defeated two Geek players at once, Baloyskie and Kennzyskie disappeared. The second Lord was again obtained by RRQ, immediately moving to attack Geek's defense.

Geek's defense was fragile, RRQ was one step closer to victory and finally the King got the second point in this match. In game 3, RRQ was getting more aggressive and took control of the game. Geek was increasingly cornered, RRQ controlled all lines without a single obstacle.

Although they failed to end the game with the first Lord, the fight for the second Lord became an important moment for RRQ. Sutsujin with his Yi-Sun-Shin managed to get Aboyy, one by one Geek players fell, Maykids disappeared. Unfortunately, Gobs was again the last person left.

Wipeout was obtained, RRQ managed to get match point with a 3-1 advantage. In the fifth game as the decider for RRQ, the King again took control of Geek Fam opening the way to victory. Again and again, Geek's defense began to be threatened, one area after another was controlled.

Lord was successfully obtained, the momentum of victory opened for RRQ. Maykids disappeared, Geek began to be anxious, Sutsujin's YSS managed to open a brilliant initiation. Lord managed to enter Geek's base and finally RRQ completed their victory 4-1, knocking Geek Fam out.

This victory brought RRQ Hoshi to qualify for the MSC 2025 Esports World Cup as Indonesia's representative and secured a ticket to the Grand Final.
