The VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 1 competition has reached the playoff stage, where six teams that qualified from each group will compete for the championship title and tickets to Masters Toronto. Two teams from Indonesia have made a remarkable achievement.

One of these teams, Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), has emerged as a powerhouse in the Knockout round. As the leading team in the Omega group standings, RRQ has strengthened its lineup with the addition of a new IGL, Crazyguy.

Under the guidance of esteemed coaches Ewok and WarBirds, RRQ has shown impressive growth. Their outstanding performance in the Knockout round has secured them the top seed in the playoffs, and they are now eagerly awaiting their opponent, either DRX or T1.

Ultimately, RRQ will take on DRX in the Upper Bracket Semifinal of VCT Pacific 2025 Stage 1. This match is particularly significant, as RRQ previously faced a defeat against DRX. Nevertheless, with their recent strong showing, RRQ's aspirations for qualifying for Masters Toronto remain very much alive.

The showdown between RRQ and DRX occurred on Sunday, April 27, 2025. This match was played in a best of 3 (BO3) format, featuring the Fracture, Icebox, and Lotus maps, all of which both teams were quite familiar with. 

In the first game on Fracture, RRQ took an early lead right from the pistol round. However, DRX secured their first point in round 4. Despite RRQ's initial advantage, DRX turned the tide and finished the first half ahead with a score of 7-5, extending their lead as the match progressed. 

With RRQ trailing at 10-6, DRX reached match point in the 20th round. The young star, Hyunmin, showcased an impressive performance, leading DRX's offensive efforts. The game continued, and RRQ managed to reach double digits. 

In round 24, an extra round was nearly on the horizon as RRQ had a player advantage after taking down two key DRX players. The situation shifted from 4v3 to a tense 2v2. Xffero faced off against free1ng, and ultimately, DRX clinched the victory with a score of 13-11. 

Moving to game 2 on Icebox, RRQ once again started strong, despite DRX winning the first pistol round. Unlike the first game, RRQ dominated this time, finishing the first half with an impressive 8-4 lead. Their momentum carried into the second half. 

By the 17th round, RRQ had secured match point. DRX appeared less formidable than in the previous game, and RRQ's robust defense proved too much for them. With Hyunmin isolated, M0nyet took him down, sealing RRQ's victory with a score of 13-4.

In the crucial game on Lotus, RRQ maintained their lead, showcasing their strength even into round 8. DRX gradually closed the gap, finishing the first half with a score of 5-7 despite being behind. In the second half, DRX matched RRQ's gameplay, but RRQ held onto their lead until round 18.

By round 21, RRQ was on the brink of victory with a match point, but DRX's surprising tactics forced the game into an extra round. With the score tied at 12-12, both teams entered the decisive round. RRQ played with aggression and discipline, gaining the upper hand.

In round 26, Jemkin fell to free1ng, but Crazyguy retaliated. As two DRX players were taken down, RRQ focused on securing site B. Kushy eliminated Hyunmin, increasing RRQ's chances of qualifying for Masters Toronto. Ultimately, Estrella was left alone and unable to turn the tide. The Spike was defused successfully, and RRQ qualified for Masters Toronto, marking Indonesia's first appearance in the Valorant International tournament.
