Some time ago, we learned that the renowned Indonesian esports team, Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ), officially announced their participation in the 17th season of MPL Malaysia (MPL MY), which will feature a partnership system implemented by Moonton Games. New challenges have arrived, and RRQ has even announced a new name for its new team in MPL MY: RRQ Tora. RRQ Tora is believed to be fielding the best squad, combining talent from Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
Many rumors have surfaced regarding who will make up RRQ Tora's roster in MPL MY Season 17. Rumors have surfaced regarding the presence of Indonesian MLBB star Rendy "Dyrennn" Syahputra, as well as several top Malaysian players, who are also confirmed to be part of RRQ Tora. RRQ Tora's MPL MY Season 17 Roster Officially Announced, a Combination of 3 Countries in One Team!
Before the management announced the full roster, RRQ Tora's coach was first announced. Lu Khai "Sasa" Ben was officially appointed as coach, marking Sasa's return after a year in China with the DianFengYaoGuai (DFYG) team. Sasa is no stranger to MLBB fans in Indonesia, having previously played for ONIC and now transitioned to a full-time coaching role.
RRQ Tora's roster was finally revealed on Thursday, March 12, 2026, during the MPL Malaysia Season 17 "New Era" Press Conference in Malaysia. The roster announcement was made on the team's social media channels, Instagram, and YouTube, where the official RRQ Tora roster combines rosters from three countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. First, Czedrick "Super Yoshi" Romero, the Roamer. Super Yoshi previously played in the MPL Philippines with Omega Esports.
Next, the jungler is Muhammad Syafizan "Garry" Najmi Bin Kamarulzaman. Garry previously played for CG Esports, TODAK, and Team HAQ in MPL Malaysia. The midlaner is Adam Alhakim "Kymm" Bin Mohamad Ali. Kymm also previously played for AERO Esports, Team Rey, and RED Esports MY. The gold laner is Dhiya Harith Hazran "Rough" Bin Shahrul Hadafi. Rough previously played for Monster Vicious (MV) and TODAK.
Filling the same midlaner position is Muhammad Azri "AJ" Bin Jamaludin. AJ also previously played for CG Esports, Team REY, and RED Esports MY. As expected, the EXP laner is Rendy "Dyrennn" Syahputra, who officially joins RRQ Tora.
Finally, accompanying Sasa as Assistant Coach is Jaycee Cariaga "L1NK" Christopher Nieles. Coach L1nk previously coached TODAK and RSG Philippines.
