Seeing the worldwide popularity of One Piece, it's no wonder that the author, Eiichiro Oda, always gets mails or postcards from fans. Interestingly, Oda never threw away the fan mails that were sent to him. This is mentioned by Oda himself in an SBS column.

In the SBS One Piece volume 94 a reader asked Oda if he read all the mails or postcards sent to him. Oda answered the question. He admitted that all the mails given to him are never thrown away.

Oda keeps all mails and letters that came from fans in a special room. For 22 years, Oda has never once thrown a letter that came from his fans. Oda can be a role model for those who have succeeded so as not to forget the people who provide support.
