In One Piece, there are plenty of devil fruits that the type is still in question, and one of those is Doku Doku no Mi that was eaten by Magellan. In SBS One Piece volume 69, a fan asked, “Hello Odacchi, I’m curious about the type of Doku Doku no Mi, is it Paramecia or Logia?”

Oda replied, “Good question! Normally, Doku Doku no Mi is considered as Logia-type because it can make the user a venom, but it’s Paramecia-type fruit that is different from the others because the user can produce any kind of venom, and not turn the user into a venom.”

Oda also stated that Magellan covers his body with venom as protection from physical contact, but it looks like he turns into a venom himself, so, Doku Doku no Mi is not a special Paramecia-type fruit like Katakuri’s Mochi Mochi no Mi that grants him an ability like Logia-type does.
