In the SBS One Piece volume 102 column, a reader said that if you look at the cover of One Piece chapter 1031, Bepo seems to be the second strongest after Law in the Hearts Pirates. He also asked Oda whether Bepo really became the second strongest in his group after Law.

Oda gave an answer to that question. Looking at the pictures of Bepo, Penguin, and Sachi, one might think that Bepo is crew number 2 in the Hearts Pirates. In his normal form, Oda doesn't say that Penguin and Sachi are stronger than Bepo.

But because Oda revealed that Bepo has the Sulong form, then the two of them are no match for Bepo in that form. This means that Bepo is indeed the second strongest person in the Hearts Pirates. Maybe later Oda will show Bepo's Sulong form in the story? We'll just have to wait!
