Before the Wano Country Arc, Killer always wore his mask, covering his real face. In a column of SBS One Piece Volume 62, a fan asked, “When Killer eats his meals, does he take off his mask? Or does he eat with the mask on?”

Oda then replied, “Yes, I think he eats with the mask on. I think ramen works for him. Apparently, he prefers pasta as his main course every day. It’s said that he also enjoys peperoncino, naporitan, and any kind of tomato sauce that can get his mask dirty. For your information, he drinks alcohol using a straw”.

It’s still unclear why Killer never takes off his mask, even when he eats. He’s quite the contrary to Kakashi, who would take off his mask every time he eats.
