Mayumi Tanaka is the voice actress of Luffy since the first One Piece anime aired. In a recent interview, Mayumi had predicted that One Piece might end in the next 7 or 8 years later. Since this is information from Luffy's voice actor, it may be accurate.

Even though she had predicted that Mayumi said that she did not know how the ending of One Piece would be. She also feels that she might retire before One Piece ends. With a joking tone, Mayumi said that she will choose Son Goku's voice actress, Masako Nozawa, to replace her as Luffy.

Hopefully, Mayumi Tanaka will always be healthy so that she can voice Luffy until the final episode of One Piece. Many fans don't want Mayumi Tanaka to retire before One Piece ends because Luffy's voice is irreplaceable.
