From the earliest part of the story, we’ve been introduced to several intimidating-looking factions. One of them is the World Government that has been hiding a significant secret that may tremble the world. Aside from the faction led by Im-sama, there are 10 other most powerful organizations in One Piece that are equally frightening. Here’s the list!

1. Baroque Works

Baroque Works was a faction led by the former Shichibukai, Crocodile. The main purpose of this organization is to rule Arabasta and geet one of the Ancient Weapons, Pluton. Over the years, Crocodile has gathered groups of criminals under his authority as the members of the Baroque Works.

Its members use numbers as their aliases. For instance, Mr.1 or Miss Valentine. Crocodile’s initiative was stopped by the Straw Hat Pirates when they were helping Vivi.

2. Nine Red Scabbards

Nine Red Scabbards, also known as the Akazaya Nine, comprised of the loyal retainers of Kozuki Oden. During the hardest times of their lives, Kozuki Oden lent them his hand to help. From then on, they vowed their loyalty to Oden and the Kozuki Clan.

They have been a recognized powerhouse in Wano for the last 20 years. Even now, they are excellent fighters. Their main purpose is to avenge Oden by defeating Kaido at the Fire Festival on Onigashima.

3. Germa 66

Germa 66 is a military faction of the Germa Kingdom, as well as an underground organization led by Sanji’s biological father, Vinsmoke Judge. Most of Germa’s armies are clones, created by advanced technology, the one that Big Mom is after. Sanji’s four siblings are the most powerful fighters within the army.

4. The Worst Generation

Although they are not working under one particular structure of an organization, the Worst Generation refers to a group capable of bringing significant changes to the Pirate Era. They once gathered at one point in Shabaody.

Some of them have fought alongside each other, such as Luffy, Kid, and Law when they fought the Marines. In One Piece Stampede, all of the members of the Worst Generation (except for Teach) had worked together to defeat Douglass Bullet.

5. Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance

This alliance was established in Zou when they agreed to oust Kaido. It’s comprised of the Straw Hat Pirates, Hearts Pirates, the Mink Tribe, as well as Wano Samurais and Ninjas. The main purpose is to defeat Kaido and bring Wano Country back to the people.

It was based on Kozuki Oden’s last wish, the best Samurai in the entire Wano.

6. Shichibukai

The Shichibukai is an organization consisting of pirates with above-average combat strength. This faction was created by the World Government to stop other pirates in return for its member’s freedom. In short, any crime that they have and will commit is not seen as a crime.

People often refer to them as ‘government dogs’. Shichibukai was one of the three main powers in the One Piece universe before it was disbanded and reformed with a new system, SSG (Special Science Group).

7. SSG

SSG or the Special Science Group was created by Vegapunk to replace the Shichibukai as one of the major powers in One Piece universe. Their true power is still unknown. Yet according to Fujitora and Brannew, they’re powerful enough to replace the Shichibukai.

It means that their power is considered equal to the likes of Doflamingo and Dracule Mihawk. Many fans have been waiting to see SSG’s debut as they’d like to see their true power.

8. Revolutionary Army

The Revolutionary Army is led by Luffy’s father, Monkey D. Dragon. This organization is one of the three major powers in the One Piece universe. Their main purpose is to topple the Tenryubito, who lead the World Government and set the people free from their tyranny. 

Dragon is also known as the most wanted criminal in the world, while one of his deputies like Sabo is already evenly matched with Marines Admirals.

9. Marines

The Marines work under the World Government to bring down every pirate groups and other criminals. They also protect the people in need. This faction comprised of many outstanding fighters who can take the most powerful of pirates. Most of the higher-ranks in the Marines use Devil Fruit abilities.

If they join forces with the Shichibukai or the SSG, they can match the Yonkou.

10. Yonkou

The Yonkou are the four most powerful pirates in One Piece, also known as Emperors of the New World. Their power and influence make the Marines try not to get on their bad side. 

The Yonkou currently consist of Big Mom, Kaido, Shanks, and Teach. At the moment, it’s fair to say that they are the most powerful pirates in the One Piece universe.
