The sequel of Chrono Trigger manage to be crowned as one of the best RPG games on PS1 because it has a great plot development. You can also recruit 45 other characters to be a member of your party. The game also requires you to re-play the game so you can get all the endings in Chrono Cross.

4. Harvest Moon: Back to Nature

Almost everyone has heard of this game. Harvest Moon: Back to Nature is one of the best life-simulation games to ever exists. The game that requires you to farm manages to left a deep impression for all the players.

3. Bishi Bashi

It’s not a wonder why the game that will break your controller is on the list of the best PS1 games. This hilarious game is much better when played with two or more players, especially if your friends know how to play the game. Bishi Bashi tournaments sure sound fun.

2. Digimon World 3

For the fans of Digimon games, Digimon World 3 surely will be on the top of the list of their favorite games. It’s understandable because all aspects of the game are great, starting with the Digimons available, the story, and the card battle mini-game. Remember how happy you are when you manage to get Imperialdramon Paladin Mode because this Digimon took the longest to get.

1. Suikoden 2

No other games can beat the undisputed best RPG game on PS1. To get the good ending, you have to successfully recruit all 108 characters. There are a lot but it’s worth the struggle/time. Suikoden 2 has a great story and not to mention the turn-based gameplay is simple yet memorable.
