Baymax!, the upcoming series from Disney+, is a spin-off of the Big Hero 6 movie. The series is slated for release on 29 June 2022. And recently, Disney released a trailer video on Friday (20/05). 

The trailer shows the white adorable healthcare robot hitting the streets of San Fransokyo, and helping citizens in need. Baymax also starts to learn how to socialize with the citizens of San Fransokyo.

"I thought it would be fun to do a Disney+ series with Baymax interacting with normal folks," said Don Hall, the creator of the series. 

The series will no longer revolve around Mr. Kabuki and saving Callaghan’s daughter, but instead will focus more on Baymax’s daily life, as he tries to serve the people around Hiro Hamada’s neighborhood and others he meets along the way. This time, his mission is to save the world and be useful to others.

Baymax! will be a six-episode series exclusively streamed on Disney+ as Don Hall said, "In each of our six episodes, Baymax just wants to help someone, and a lot of times they don’t want to be helped. He sets out to fix a physical issue that he's identified, and in the process, gets to a deeper, more emotional place and can be almost transformative in that role."

Inspired by the Marvel comic books of the same title, Baymax! will still focus on the personal health companion robot made by Tadashi. This series isn’t the prequel to the movie, so Baymax has been revamped by Hiro after losing his late brother, Tadashi.
