This 13-episode series dives deep into the story of the early manga.

The main reason to watch this series, which was released in 1993, is that it is the last one based on the Universal Century timeline. Another reason to watch Mobile Suit Victory Gundam is because it is a future story written by the writer and director of the anime quite well.

Set some 100 years after the One Year War, Earth is under attack by BEPSA. This is a space force connected to the Zanscare Empire. When two teenagers meet a BEPSA pilot in their peaceful European city, they are thrown into war.

Eventually, they join the Earth resistance movement to pilot the Victory Gundam for their freedom.

After War Gundam X

Unfortunately, After War Gundam X did not receive an English localization until 2016, decades after its original 1996 release in Japan. Therefore, this is probably one of the most underrated Gundam series by fans. Even though this series brings quite a lot of interesting new ideas to the franchise.

In this series we are introduced to a post apocalyptic Earth set in the After War timeline. Here Mobile Suits can be used by civilians to keep the planet from being destroyed at the hands of criminals.

Gundam Wing

Although Gundam Wing is the sixth franchise of the entire Gundam franchise, Gundam Wing is quite popular with fans. The series is cool to find far greater success there than in Japan in other regions and is the series that popularized Gundam in the West.

Mobile Suit Gundam

This is the beginning of all the Gundams that we can enjoy. Released in 1979, Mobile Suit Gundam sparked a new era in mecha anime. The original series had 43 episodes for fans to enjoy.

Gundam 00 centers on the paramilitary organization Celestial Being. They are the only people in the world who have Gundams. They are trying to use their power to eradicate war on a global level. The series features a very high quality of animation.

The cool thing is, this is the first Gundam series to be animated in high definition. Despite the criticism it has received, its visuals and narrative are undeniably one of the best.
