Game studio SHIFT-UP, known for its innovation, is considering making a PC version of the game Stellar Blade, as well as planning a sequel. They are also developing a new project called Project Witches, according to documents they released when they listed on the Korean stock exchange, KOSPI.
Citing Gematsu.com, Project Witches is still in the early stages of development and is expected to be ready to launch in 2027. This game will be available on game consoles, computers and mobile phones, and can be played together between these devices. SHIFT-UP calls it a game that will be greater than the previous game, Goddess of Victory: NIKKE. This game will be similar to other popular games such as Genshin Impact and Fate/Grand Order. SHIFT-UP plans to accelerate the development of this game by recruiting more new employees in 2024.
For Stellar Blade, SHIFT-UP hasn't set a release date for the PC version or its sequel, but they are considering both options.
SHIFT-UP hopes to develop new games that are successful and stand on their own without having to rely on old games. They also plan to add more features and new content to Stellar Blade, including downloadable content, and make it available on PC.
SHIFT-UP wants to make Stellar Blade an ongoing series by creating high-quality sequels, similar to other big game series such as God of War and Final Fantasy, which have managed to sell millions of copies and have long-term revenues.
