When talking about the world of Naruto, there are countless theories and fanmade characters that often surface within the community. One name that often sparks curiosity is Uzumaki Saburo. This character has been widely discussed because he looks convincing, as if he were truly part of the official Naruto storyline.
But who exactly is Uzumaki Saburo? Where did he come from, and is he real or just a character created by fans? Let’s take a closer look.
Who Is Uzumaki Saburo?
Uzumaki Saburo is a character that has been widely discussed among Naruto fans on the internet. He is described as having thick blonde hair resembling Minato, but with a wilder style. Some even compare his appearance to the silhouette of the Kyubi, since parts of his hair resemble animal ears.
Before diving deeper into Saburo, it’s worth looking back at Naruto’s family tree. Minato Namikaze (the Fourth Hokage) married Kushina Uzumaki of the Uzumaki clan. From this union, Naruto Uzumaki was born. Naruto later married Hinata Hyuga, heiress of the Hyuga clan. Together, they had two children: Boruto Uzumaki and Himawari Uzumaki.
In fanmade stories created by the community, Boruto is said to have married Sarada Uchiha, the daughter of Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. From there, new descendants are imagined, including the fan-favorite Uzumaki Saburo.
Although he looks convincing at first glance, Uzumaki Saburo has never actually appeared in either Naruto or Boruto. His popularity stems from animated fan videos created by a Russian animator named Sasha Dan, who publishes content on his YouTube channel AniVideo TV. Through these videos, Saburo gained recognition and was often mistaken as part of the official storyline.
Whose Child Is Uzumaki Saburo?
Many fans wonder, whose child is Uzumaki Saburo really? In the fanmade lore, he is often described as the son of Boruto Uzumaki and Sarada Uchiha. This fan-created narrative makes it seem as though Saburo is the legitimate descendant of two powerful clans, Uzumaki and Uchiha.
Interestingly, in a Facebook post by Sean Alrenzha, Uzumaki Saburo is described as Naruto’s grandson and the second child of Boruto and Sarada. He is said to have blonde hair like his grandfather Naruto, his father Boruto, and even his great-grandfather Minato Namikaze. In addition, Saburo is imagined with the Uzumaki family’s trademark whiskers and two Rinnegan eyes, supposedly inherited from the combined genes of his parents.
According to this fanlore, Uzumaki Saburo has a quiet and calm personality, unlike his brother Saruto Uzumaki. Even so, he is depicted as kind-hearted and full of potential. Some fans even nickname him the “perfect version of Nagato” due to the Rinnegan powers he is imagined to possess.
It doesn’t stop there—other Indonesian fan creations expand the lore, giving Saburo siblings like Saruto and Gaburo. More humorous names also emerged, such as Uzumaki Bayu, Suripto, Sudarsono, and Sumanto, showcasing the creativity (and sense of humor) of the Naruto fandom.
Is Uzumaki Saburo Real?
The clear answer is: Uzumaki Saburo is not real. He is simply a fanmade OC (original character) that went viral because of his striking design and intriguing backstory. In anime communities, this phenomenon is quite common—fanmade characters that exist only within fandom circles, not in the official works of the original creator, Masashi Kishimoto.
That said, the existence of Uzumaki Saburo proves just how deeply Naruto has impacted fans worldwide. Many are willing to create entirely new characters with elaborate backstories, as if they truly belong in the series.
Helped by convincing storytelling and fan art, many fans mistakenly believed Uzumaki Saburo was a canon character living in Konoha. In reality, he is simply the product of fans’ imagination.

Closing
The Uzumaki Saburo phenomenon highlights how the Naruto fandom thrives on wild imagination and fan creativity. Even though he isn’t real or part of the official storyline, Saburo still managed to capture the attention of many. So, if you come across this name, remember: he is purely a fan creation, not a character by Masashi Kishimoto.
